NP I think I'm on the right track
![]() Even though the settler seems a bit late, but I think that's just because of the starting location.
It's gotta be Gavagi who founded it. He and Kurimi were the only 2 to get a points increase this turn, and I can't see a Mongol player beelining a religion ever.
Also, I'm dedlurking you guys, couldn't really afford the time commitment from joining 2 games, but I can make the occasional passing comment and not have to even contemplate doing any micro, let alone actually doing it, this way. ![]()
Welcome aboard
![]() I'm playing three games myself, two PB's and one PBEM. It really is a big time commitment. To be honest I expected to be eliminated from PB9 before this one gets rolling, but I somehow survived a 1v4 war ![]() Yeah it's Gavagai. He also starts with Fishing, which means he can build workboats and doesn't need to immediately get worker techs. He's philosophical, so a quick shrine is possible. Probably by chopping Stonehenge. Anyway, doesn't change what we do. Since we don't have forests or stone/marble or industrious, we are skipping all the early wonders. We do however have two marble a bit further away from our start, so we could go for some wonders later on.
At this point you're commiting more to the game then I am azza
![]() This is the boring part of course. Lets not discount early wonders - it depends, after all, on how long they last...

![]() It's starting to look like an island, connected to other islands by coast. Though some corners could still lead somewhere. Does this fit the Big'n'Small map speculation, or is it some other script?
It definitely resembles a Big & Small type map.
How many workers do we have? Is chopping Stonehenge in city #2 feasible? Seems like we have a lot of space to work with, and a lot of forests to chop right on the northern border of the capital. Add to that a general need for border popping, and that spells considering a run at those free monuments. |
