Oh yeah, and I was going to oracle civil service in 5ish turns. Wasn't certain when I would revolt though, maybe I would've used my incoming scientist for a golden age instead, maybe I would've eaten the anarchy.
I am suprised at the worker disparity, especially given that I had yet to deforest the capital and built much less mines. I guess despite the minor disparity in cities yours were much more concentrated then mine, expanding as I did to both the east and the west. I also had calender and had misplaced a city for bad tile sharing, as well as my eastern cities being placed further out to pick up their resources. I definitely didn't feel like I had an excess of improvements.
The settler finishing was probably going to my south, to where you built High Gate.

I think my biggest problem was, as mentioned, not expanding west fast enough. I didn't want to plant for the fish with an early two workers and I was then entranced by the pigs of the east likely far more then they were worth.

I haven't read the thread yet - did you post my trait reasoning or should I find it?

I précis'd what you wrote on page 3.

My next cities were probably going to go to the iron region, since it sounds like you were going to block me off from any more expansion southward. I'm glad I got that good border-city then!
