Turn 049

I did whip that settler out of the capital last turn, and spent a long time last night and today deciding if I wanted my 5th worker or 4th settler to get the overflow. I decided on neither:

No, it won't be an all-out rush. But what kind of neighbor would I be if I didn't stop by and introduce myself?

Domestics: next city in 2t. Monuments in 4t. I'll have overflow and a chop waiting to go into Brachiosaurus

Although I'd probably put it on pork chops, not lamb chops. Damn you Brick, I'm hungry now too.

See, that doesn't really tempt me. Especially when this has been on my mind all day...

That looks amazing. I had some good fried chicken with dinner tonight but I haven't tried hot chicken before.

Next time I fly through Nashville I may have to seek this out.

It's the food of the gods. Hattie B's is my favorite spot so far.

Spoilers. Thoth is Hattie, that clearly goes in his thread.

Turn 051

Speaking of Thoth!

[Image: pb19%20-%20turn051%20-%20welcome%20wagon.jpg]

He planted his city on turn 47, so that means borders will pop at end of this turn. Not wanting to wait, he moved a warrior up to see what he could see. The yellow dashed line is all that he could see, and can see once his borders expand. Our chariots are out of sight and in range to spy into / threaten his city next turn. Operation Welcome Wagon is underway.

City #4 is planted, and costs shot up to 9. I need to grow up more than out, and will be building extra workers before the next settler is even started. If I can get all my cities up to the happy cap then I should be able to power through the steep costs. But I need to really hit those food sources hard. All is not lost, despite my flailing start.

I did a bit of a renaming, although that was after the pics were taken. The capital is now the Visitor Center; the other city names are unchanged. I think that's a bit more focus for the 'Hammondian' civiliation nod

Speaking of welcoming parties...

The north must still be pretty open. I'll want to shore up the border with Thoth and then expand that way next.

Speaking of barbs, another one moved into Thoth's borders towards the new city. Maybe he will distract away that warrior... mischief
