So I'm going to post a good and detailed Turn 100 update-o-rama, but we're apparently the fastest players ever with Sian gone, so for turn 101, here's my newest city.

Also a 2-turn Deception! cool While building Research all over. shhh

Just in case you don't know; building research is only 1h -> 0.5b in FFH.

Looking forward to T100. smile

Yes, it sucks. alright But, if it makes the difference between me getting the holy city or not? Worth it.

Turn 100
(three turns late)

Yeah. So that's still a thing. Top cities tells us why; ain't no wonders (even weedy ones) here in smoggy Beardland, our cities, while sprawling, are also small. So. Um. Yeah.

I suppose the newsiest news of the world is the sudden and shocking ascendance of Hiding Kneel's Balseraphs. In power, in GNP, in MFG, in Crop Yield...who would have thought it, being in a semi-permanent golden age tends to drastically improve your prospects! I'm mildly worried about Stubble; mild not so much because I'm don't think it'll die, but mostly because it is a handy and satisfying low-hanging fruit for HK to munch. This is my crumple zone! There are many like it, but this is mine!

The “arm” that is rightly and properly mine is more secure; as you saw above I just settled Van Dyke so I have a decent utilization of the land area; I'll push down two more cities presently and then I'll be “full” from “my fair share” at least. Cash rushing the settlers is a painful but possibly worthwhile notion; it's just a question of how long it'll take for the investment to pay off. Chinstrap and Van Dyke are clear winners, at least.

Immediate payoff has never been more immediate than in settling these islands; first city went down last turn between the horse and the pig. Boar riders and IC-TR are the “now” perks, a road to the Kurios...maybe a little later, but definitely something to abuse soon. Can warriors upgrade to piggie-jocks? If so this will be a bacon road very very shortly!

But really, the core is where a civilization's strengths and weaknesses show best. And we've got a pretty dang weak core. Here in the north we've only got three cities; tundra-water-rump and the two best cities in the kingdom.

Beard, our capital, owns some decent land but is more or less standing still for a while. The Inn will at least permit the people to be happy; it's just a warrior/turn for a good long while afterward.

Mustache, our brewing house city, kind of makes men and little babies weep, so criminally under-grown it is.

In the south our core is a little better-developed, if equally under-grown. Irrigable land farmed, hills mined, resources hooked. That's...pretty much all there is here. I'm going to be experimenting with the cash economy, so the world spell might well screw me. Basically, what you see here? Funnel gold through 135% and you're nearing Kremlin efficiency, particularly given ingenuity upgrades. We'll see now, at least. Consumption might let us make Kremlin-level!

Oh, the cities. Well, Goatee is a fine place but kind of dull...

...while Muttonchops is basically “Partria and trash”...

...but embarrassingest of all is Soul Patch, who is just going to slowly plink away at my next golden age and then possibly Nox Noctis.

Yeah, I'm not proud of what I have here. But in my defense, I'm just a sub. wink

...and that, boys and girls, brings us to here and now!

Esus is spreading surprisingly well, cash rushing is enabled, and a ton of fun and educational events just got unlocked. Things look awesome in the lands of the bearded ones, just as long as you don't compare us to anyone else in the entire world!thumbsup

Well, I needed the extra hammer but after screenshotting I realized I was being daft and just worked a plains tile. rolleye

Turn pace is rocketing along; just got 104 in the mail. It came with an event! Note, those 'shrooms are on the city tile so the event is 100% useless, but still...

I'm going to update the front page with the latest "extent of the empire" shot, but I figured I'd show one here too with all the resources. It's big, but it's useless!

HK's power is still spiking. I flatly refuse to fight puppet-summon-spam, so if he DoWs he's getting a free empire.
