...and that might be Pottery or AH? If Pin is going Pottery and ignores strat resources...three turns to horse revelation.

Out for a week just got back:

I dont see a ridiculous pink dot location, I see an overall very lush map. The corn backs it up, there are lots of really good spots in this little region, but this is the only region you've explored! Surely Gawdzak didnt paint this area with duel bait for you and pin while leaving all else barren, right? In other words, explore more before going full duel mode.

Also, you know better than most, a tight map like this means metagame is more important than traits. Even if Pin of Yourleader gets a bit ahead, he'll invite aggression on multiple sides. And you can take advantage when the time is right.

Further, Pin is going to be pretty cautious after being eliminated early in pb19, you'd think. I liked the type of analysis you did on recent team activity there, by the way.

All that adds up to: this is a bad situation to sound the duel alarm. Snowball, and wait for opportunities. As ever.

Oh, this is absolutely an incredibly lush map in all directions; check out these corns:

I mostly just want to push Pin back from getting the lion's share between us. If he turns around and pink dots some other guy...win-win!

While you focus on pin, arent the others going to pink dot YOU? Im just the ded here but you're IMP. That means sure, you can get 80% between you and Pin, or you could get a 60% share in all directions and, like, win a game. neenerneener

Also, gawkzak and advisors like seven likely produced a pretty balanced map, which means theres probably other metals between you and your other rivals. So 60% in all directions is probably a really nice result.

Well hello! It's That Other Financial Guy, Mr. Hydra, The Human. He's proud owner of a sea start and near in proximity to Pindicator.

His theme...confuses me, but I like the capital name! No major diversions yet. No work boat starts...

Hit End Turn, Animal Husbandry comes in, aaaaaand:

:banghead: So yeah. Here's the times:
Bronze Working: 9t
Archery: 5t
Meditation: 6t
Wheel: 6t
Fishing: 4t

Conservative-ish play. Still wanna chop Stonehenge into Suddrey ASAP.

Okay, I realize I've been a touch wobbly on my plans; lacking strategic resource knowledge, or really even good local scouting, will definitely do that to a brother. And that's on me! But I think I'm moving Suddrey one last time:

The plan, such as it is, will be to immediately bang out a 5t settler next turn at size 2; time Meditation to finish upon settlement of the rouge dot locale, and then speak long on how it is totally worth it to have a second city with no road connection and only a single warrior garrison. Even so, the spot secures riverside plains-hill silver, a vast and fertile river valley, and pressures a potential Pin pig city without invalidating it utterly in a war-demanding way.

Bonus: With Fishing, gets auto-connected to that HORSE CITY.

Why hello! There's my food! My completely stupid plan to never research Agriculture, living instead on Fishing and Animal Husbandry...seems like it's being rewarded, actually.

I love Imperialistic. My plains mine would have been a terrible investment under any other circumstances whatsoever; as it is, yay five-turn settler. shades

My MFG shows I'm the only loon working a plains mine, although that may be a grass mine out there. My pigs are roughly equivalent to the other players' six-food resources...although timing-wise, I think Pin has corn because he took an extra turn. I have less visibility on the others, lacking graphs and/or capital context.

Anyone have kids? Or I guess was a kid in the late 80's? My theme makes me think Ringo Starr voice-over on all these reports.
