[SPOILERS] dtay's thread awaits a title

Really? This is the best offer 2metra has for his wonder city?

I'd be willing to accept something like... 600gpt. But, no I'm not signing peace for 2 gold to save your wonder city after you refused something like 5 peace offers from me.

Amusingly though, that 2 gold would have let me get the better version of this event. Not a big deal, but pretty funny

So 3 wonders, gone. Kind of painful to raze, but they wouldn't even be that good of wonders for me since I have no state religion and can't build monasteries b/c SM.

Thing confusing me - why did 2metra rode all these tundra?

It's an interesting position you have here, we didn't meet until late but I can see lots of things have happened on your continent too. Has your war situation changed in the past 4 days ?

BTW if Portugal is North Korea, does this mean we where South Korea ? Or East Korea ? crazyeye

There may yet be hope in this world. North Korea has agreed to armistice.

In this analogy, I guess I'm South korea.

And apparently South Korea is now going to declare war on Japan. mischief

When I say hope, I mean slim slim hope, Gavagai has so much land GJ and Gawdzak need to attack him now or he's just going to walk away with this thing.

Like, that OH/Krill dogpile on me in PB18 needs to happen here, and soon, or Gavagai is going to blow the game wide open, if it isn't already. Not to leave out Pind's awe-inspiring contribution to that, but he wasn't piling, to him was left the noble role of defender. But anyway, this part of the game is out of my hands at the moment.

Also I was wondering why Plako put so many EP's into me. Now I know, he stole Assembly line. Fine by me, Plako and I are in the same boat atm. Gonna do something similar with 2metra and railroad. I think I have the EP for it,

Oh, also it's nice achieving near total industrialization in 4 turns. GoGo Kremlin Rushbuy!

Last note: Just look at all those 2/1/6 towns, and pretend they're more like 2/~5/0 workshops that can teleport their production... no research for the near future (discussion of why ~5 earlier in thread, has to do with quantity of commerce multipliers compares to production multipliers)

War begins next turn. Not everyone is in position, but half the galleons and cavs are ready.

I'm rushign this because I need to move fast. There's a 10 turn clock until I need at least nominal defense forces on the other border, though it's never going to be airtight over there.

Additionally, Plako declared on commodore while I was logged in. I strongly, STRONGLY considered just declaring right now and letting commodore know I was coming, soley so Plako won't sign peace in the next turn.

I opted to not. I think Plako knows what's up. He's a great player, and I think might have been actually trying to send ME a signal. He had visibility on me just 2 turns ago (before he stole assembly line), and i think saw all my cavalry leave the 2metra border right as I signed peace. He's seen me continue 4 drafts a turn despite signing peace. Even if he didn't see the cavs move, he's just as capable as I am of calculating how long it takes to move my army from 1 border to another, so hopefully he waits a turn before renewing the 10-turn at a time NAP thing commodore and plako have had going.

Finally, this whole plan is reckless and could go wrong in many way (2metra invasion, Gawdzak invasion are the obvious 2). But reckless is all I have left or the top 3 are going to leave me in the dust. I don't have much hope of winning this game, but if I don't attack commodore in this slim window of respite I think I have literally none. Sooooo hammer

War thoughts -

Commodore has the highest power in the game, and I have the 2nd. So this isn't me picking on someone without an army. Not in the slightest. However, commodore's army is EXTREMELY concentrated on his northern border with Plako. He has 3 troops in the two border cities with me, and then like 2 city-layers of empty or military police only garrisons. First city should fall next turn no matter what commodore does, followed by the 2nd. By the 3rd turn of war Commodore's 2-movers could be in position, and off of memory the 5th or so is when he could get things like his collateral stack down south.

BUT, even better, a meaningful portion of his power is off stuck on that penisula he's been fighting Plako over. Maybe he has the transport capacity to get it over sort of quickly, but I doubt he can do it all in one shipment. So that's even more time.

In the end though, he has enough rifles and catapults (and can draft more rifles) that my offensive will certainly stall once his collateral is in position, unless Plako is simultaneously attacking from the other side. Then it's just a question of who commodore decides to hurt more, actual defense would seem to be pretty hopeless. And ya know, TECHNICALLY Plako declared on him first...

I should also have naval supremacy unless commodore is hiding some giant fleet where I can't see it, so I can pin lots of units in cities and stuff and take his islands (though it turns out CG2 Pinch Rifles on Island Hills get high 90's odds against non-amphib infantry, drat).
