We still had one sat in his choke point city. Been there since before the second war.
And sorry rowain I didn't make myself clear. We set our cities on wealth for a few turns trying to reach astro, and were closeish to it by the end. We sacrificed about 5-10 muskets for that gambit. However we had the option to steal asthetics, maybe if we had gone full ep on him earlier we may have been able to steal it in a reasonable timeframe and done something with it. Although I seem to remember looking at the cost for asethtics, extrapolating for astro and thinking it wasn't worth it.
I thought we were pretty fair - we only whipped to get units out, not to shrink cities. We actually deleted the workers that Gavagi stole and we retook but not overly anywhere else. And we built him an academy in our capital where we could have burned the GS to spite him (about 10t or so ago, after our North fell)
I did smile a bit when he said we finally died hallelujah! Lol. I think we defended admirably. Certainly we didn't make a conquest easy. I wish I could have showed you a couple more things adrien especially with attacking. Ah well.
