If I have to pass my lockpicks off to prove I'm not lying, I'll do it.

That's what I am saying if item passes happen before death . You need to give them one last chance tonight to item and we can get proper proof on them focus on the people we have nothing on

Item passing is the last thing to happen after kills, so I'm not sure what you're trying to suggest would work.

That's why I asked before this post if we kill you then we lose those items. They can't be stolen since your the thief anyways . If we focus on the lurkers and just let item passes happen I think that's the better way.

Random MJW thoughts.
1. Nothing much has happened aside from the Tasunke affair for today.
2. Ryan seemed to be friendly with Bigger and Tasunke a lot. But hardly anyone else. That cannot be good. I also don't like his post #443 saying Rowain is a dead man with so much time left on the clock. And so little difference in the votes. It is also strange that someone acting like a confused, afriad and angry villager is by far number 1 in post-count.
3. I think Selrahcs mega-post about vig metagame issues right before the lych might be BS. It was pretty obvious he would not get lyched if he read the thread and thought about it which he usually does. He might have logged-in at the last second (and therefore not know how unlikely he is to get lyched) to read the thread but that seems very unlikely to me...

Item passing is the last thing to happen after kills, so I'm not sure what you're trying to suggest would work. Stealing a known item (say, the miller card) would occur before kills, and would be equally confirmable (though possibly more succeptable to interception if we only have one other known item).
Not saying I necessarily think it's something you should be doing, just pointing out ways it might be done.
also, Tasunke.

Wow. Gratz azza.
I had something completely different in mind to test tasunke, but it involved quite a bit of lying. Something I didn't want to do unless desperate. Of course, that's the problem - if I waited until the situation was desperate, it would seem I was lying to save skin.
I think novice that the gun holder should remain quiet as long as possible. Ideally until a pass has been made.

Tasunke
It really does seem like he is lying.
I can't really work out what his scum plan is though. I mean.. he claims vig, he becomes a trusted villager for a day, and then the next day the guy who really has teh vig gun has passed it on, and is free to call him out. He gets trusted villager status for 1 day, and then is lynched as part of a tradeoff.
The only way it can work out well is if the scum know where the gun is, and are planning to murder the person before they reveal themself, but after they pass the item.
Hmm.
I mean I suppose with 4 scum and an item seer, and an assumption that they night kill a villager and mislynch a villager, then they get 1 shot at finding it with the item seer at 1/12 odds, and one shot at killing it with their night 2 kill at 1/10 odds. That seems like far too risky a plan. Insanely risky.
But then Tasunke was quite exposed. When did he start hinting at the gun? Was it after picking up a lot of flak? I suppose I can see Tasunke trying a hail-mary play to turn an exposed position into a trusted one at long odds.
