Let's put him on the silver. If I'm reading the fog right we might be able to have visibility into their northern city and possibly raze it if they don't respond to our diplo greeting. Actually we should send them a quick message first saying something like 'hi, we met you, can you confirm receipt of our message?'

But I agree with you, let's introduce ourselves.

Finished T71. Didn't move any uinits on T72.
Barb didnt attack this turn either, he is in the open now.
Sailing done, we have TR with India, Asterix and LP. Nice boost to commerce, Masonry in 1 turn.
'retep' moved on the silver. I was wrong, we could attack Rome's city on T72. Currenly protected by warrior.
LP forget to adjust EP on us. Should send him polite reminder.
I'll post some more later, for now just some random screenshots.

1. One of the two chariots must attack the barb warrior --- pretty straightforward. Meanwhile, le'ts whip Stanford ASAP.
2. Want to tell Yossadorn that we have a chariot in striking range of Antium, defended by 1 warrior? I'd prefer not attacking but Yossadorn might be curious. Also Yossadorn should be the target for praets if GG go that route ...
3. I thought LP asked us to keep our scout on the northernmost tiles? he might not like seeing the scout position being like that since he can tell we took the road. But may be we moved the scout on t72 before he logged in?
4. Still really busy, unfortunately, so I'm going to trust you with the worker actions. It looks like you're doing a good job splitting them up. If you have time to post a detailed plan for them, that'd be great. I imagine, for instance, that we're not going to be roading towards the silver city for a while since we need the workers at the city.
5. Hanging Gardens is still open, right? We can tech to Maths after masonry and try to see the feasibility of Berkeley producing it.

T72. Not finished.
Barb killed, Stanford whipped.
Rome put a chariot in Antium, so they were ready to our surprisse.
I did sent Yos picture of Antium from before Rome moved.
Our export/import is bad. We donate too much, but maybe its ok for diplo reason.
Asterix ask wheat for fish trade, I accept for diplo reason.
OS expanding nicely. City#7 this turn.
We are kinda slow, but we are after GS.
Units costs is 4+1 now, next turn we'll finish settler+worker. How about we delay workboat a bit?
Anyway, we need more units, sad to say. We need Spear in silver city asap. Rome is on a war path and will start making Praets soon, while already has some chariot(s).
Any ideas how to move our units this turn? And where to move settler next turn?
Random screenshots.

Military shift (any of these things we had to consider?):
- research Archery
- research HBR
- research Math->Construction
- build barracks in 1-3 cities
- build Spears/Axes
According to Yos, south looks like that:
Quote:Yes, it is us-GG-??(probably dinos)-ponies-BowAivo-us again
We've been able to cooperate with BowAivo to the west, and there is a large no-man's-land between us and GG
We are trying to locate their iron resource
Soon enough they'll be too far behind to do anything. Unless they are able to easily take dinosaur or pony lands
I told Caledorn I don't envy you stuck between LP and Care Bears
Any thoughts?

Msg from M&M.
Quote:Hi Teddy,
we accept NAP extension till turn 120.
On the other hand, we are rather disappointed with our collaboration so far. When you contacted us asking as to coordinate NAPs with India, we were about to start the discussion about our NAP extension with India till T120. Based on our agreement, we completely dropped these talks and we informed you clearly about this. You encouraged us to settle aggressively towards India and assured us you will attack India after T 75 if they would DoW us as a result of our aggressive settling ... then you made NAP with India behind our back. And likely as a result, India is not interested anymore in extending NAP with us - and if hey would attack us, you could join the fight .. 30 turns from now. You also still put EP on Oxysutt instead of India.
So from our point of view it looks like you were not serious about cooperation against India and we regret we abondon our NAP talks with Yuufo when you asked us. Correct me if I am wrong
Asterix for M & L
PS1. In the current situation we are also not inclined to share what we learnt about Lord Parkin.
PS2. There is an easy way to make India not to attack us - do not extend NAP with them beyond turn 75.
I guess we won't know something about LP that put us 'in mortal danger' after all.
Maybe I was wrong when convince you extend our NAP with India, but with AI diplo AGG Rome on our borders -- maybe not.
Any suggestions how to reply? Any chance we could work with M&M after all?
Should we talk with India instead and extend our NAP even more, while pushing Yuufo to attack M&M?
Right now we have bigger problems:
- Rome
- 'Not settle more than 5 tiles west' with LP
- Slow expansion
- Not enough military
- Too many units at the same time
- Slow tech rate

Did we ever actually say "we will declare war on India for sure" at any point in our earlier emails? I'm tempted to craft a (long) reply to Asterix explaining why we did this and that. But it will have to come after the
Yes, we will be needing some spears and axes in our silver city. Fortunately, that's the only "front-line" city so we should just cram everything in there if possible. (Or we could place everyone on the silver tile.) And we need to work with Team Blame Caledorn. I would start moving our chariot back up to protect city 6 (silver). And after the worker, MIT should probably build an axe which will eventually be placed in that silver city (call it "Illinois"?).
- Rome (yes, a problem, we need to put all our defenders inside silver city)
- 'Not settle more than 5 tiles west' with LP (this is not a problem because we were never planning on doing this until at least after turn 80, and if we were it was for the forested city near the rice, which was closer to them anyway)
- Slow expansion (somewhat a problem, but we are still better than average)
- Not enough military (no, we have plenty of military at this stage, but we'll also be needing a few more axes)
- Too many units at the same time (not that much of a problem)
- Slow tech rate (somewhat of a problem, but we are getting a scientist soon. But we need cottages, which is why I think our seventh city needs to be cottaged, preferably put somewhere between the silver city and Cornell)
If Rome will not respond then where do we want to settle that silver city (Illinois)?
Edit: Can stanford be whipped for 2 pop now?
