So just as I predicted, Elkad took the last mainland city from Magic. I expect a peace between those two soon.
Seems like Superdeath is ready for the next round. He left only a small garrison in Exdeath and his whole army is here in Wing Raptor. Well I build a lot more pikemen for you. This will hurt if you don't bring siege weapons.
And I also started blockading him with my galleys.
Hey, I found the city with the pyramids. And of course it was also build at a border city with me, ok Liquid Flame is 5-6 tiles away, but it's his next city to me. The war correspondent had to move NW next as there is danger from Superdeath's Impi.
I have to say this city name must have made Magic really mad.
Nice new name for my capitol, Superdeath.
Also what are you trying to do there with your workers. Chopping a forest for Shallow? He will be very pleased about that.
Another HA showed up west of Liquid Flame. Come a little closer and I kill it
Other then that Superdeath's army did move any closer.
The war correspondent:
Talking about a close call for our diligent journalist.
I found the buddhist holy city and Elkad's capitol. The holy city looks like a production powerhouse.
And the last proof I needed that Magic has Astronomy and controls the northern sea.
Still no enemy units movement. But I noticed that Shallow managed to get a third border pop out of former Karlabos increasing the pressure on former Exdeath, which will also get more culture pressure from my own Magissa in 6 turns.
Superdeath will also finish Military Tradition soon. I expect that he already has gunpowder and will start producing curaiseurs soon. The big question is will he use them to attack Shallow or Elkad? He propably will just finish me off first to get rid of any war weariness.
The war correspondent:
Just uncovered the last undocumented cities from Elkad. Man he really got lucky with the silver drop near his capitol and he also found iron between the cow and spice? Was this always there?
Yep Superdeath is in a golden age, but note how Shallow is not that far away from him.
Elkad is really low on production for the last turns, I wonder what is happening there?
Superdeath is getting back in power, but honestly why is he building military now, when he will soon have Military Tradition? Another important thing you see is that Shallow gained every city in the last 50 turns without any real struggle, while everybody else got a hit in power during their attacks.
Cities:
Back to just 2 cities. Honestly is the city overview still interesting for anybody?
I think it's good for documentation purposes, which is the most wonderful thing about this thread. You are an A++++ reporter -- and kind in the face of adversity, too.
Gosh that's a lucky silver pop from Elkad. Also: his land is marginally better than ours: just a touch greener. I don't think that made much of a difference in the face of players but I will find something to cry about!
I'm still recovering from my illness, but I collected screenshots for my last turns and will post them as soon as I can sit longer at my desktop. Just as a little teaser. Shallow moved his army next to my borders and will attack and eliminate? me in the next turns. He will at least take Magissa, so that issue has been solved.
So this is the turn I was already teasing about. As you can see Shallow brought his army to my doorstep and not like Superdeath he was smart enough to bring siege to mitigate the losses. Shallow will probably declare on me next turn, but it will be interesting to see where he wants to slip in between/before or after me and Superdeath. As soon as Superdeath notices what's up he will try to rush in and seize Liquid Flame before Shallow.
This puts me in a rather unique situation. This is obviously the end of me, but I can more or less choose who to through my army of pikemen against. When Superdeath moves in we can deceide although I think it will be Superdeath as his stack does not have much variety in units.
I'm also relieved that Shallow is staging an attack on Magissa and does not let me rot on that island. I expect both galleys to be fully loaded and my warrior and pikeman in Magissa won't stand a chance.
