- Where should city#6 planted? Crab site more dangerous plant and slower 1turn, but other site same disctance to Praets and silver will be connected same turn either way.
- Tech path? Masonry->Math?
- Delay workboat is ok? I'm afraid it's useless for us so far
- I was planning to put city#7 north with fish/corn/dye/horses site. Prepare to Moai build there. ETA ~T79.
If we wanna whip another settler from CM and delay GS for 3-4 turns, we could plant another city east near corn fast.
I'm kinda have no general plan right now, and I need to do some sims.
Our position overall isn't good so far.
I missed M&M finished GW last turn. Good for them.
I switch tech to Math for 1 turn to put overflow from Sailing into it. We won't need Masonry next turn.
Did some changes in building queue.
2 workers + wounded chariot moved toward silver. 'retep' retreat.
Another chariot moved to cover Cornell, still may need an Axe there or fogbust south better. Quechua moved toward India, hope it'll help a bit.
If we plant city#6 on T75, silver mine done on T77, I think. Should be ready to regrow some cities on that turn.
DMOC, it would be nice if you take a look in game. Maybe we need something different with domestics.
Sorry for not logging into the game. Some quick comments.
Workers:
CM - Lighthouse fine since even though it's really only +1 food, that'll give us a net 150 food or something by the time it's finished. But when it's size 6 I really think we should put it back to a settler. We can whip that settler but I'd still prefer to work the scientists. Can possibly whip to size 4, still work 2 scientists, then when the scientist is here we can just put those scientists back on the cottages.
MIT - put overflow into axe, to put in border city by Rome? just in case...
Stanford - overflow into spear, I guess. Not too happy about mroe military but we can't take chances with Rome nearby...
UC - Settler or worker at size 5? Since the capital will be slow with the settler we might consider building a settler from Berkeley and put that into the moai statues site (Btw I like that site for Moai), but first I would like to completely explore that upper area, just in case we're not missing some seafood that would force us to settle on the offshore island. Keep forests please since we might consier Hanging Gardens (Asterix built GW so maybe he's going to stay away from wonders soon .. and I don't think he has stone hooked up).
Related ot that I would suggest warrior up north move 6 on turn 73 (To see into cheer) then 7-7 on turns 74, 75 to get the coast explored.
Cornell - work cows next turn, straightforward. Might build a library here for culture reasons, but if we do, then Stanford should probably finish the spear.
Workers:
A and F: They just finished a mine for Berkeley to work at size 5 next turn. So what do they do now?
C and D: Finish cows next turn (for Cornell) then I assume t74 they road tile 6 of Cornell then t75 quarry stone together, then road stone, then they do somethign else with COrnell (chop?)
E: Is he farming or roading that tile next turn? I'd prefer a farm so that MIT can grow without relying on the pigs ... but I can see roads being useful. Or would it better if E cottages a tile for CM?
B and G: They're guraded by a chariot. I assume this is the plan: t73 move south, t74 move on silver, t75 finish road on silver, t76 (With city settled) mine, t77 finish mine, t78 improve food or road.
H: Coming out of MIT next turn. What does he do? Mine MIT/CM? Cottage Stanford? I'd prefer he stay within the MIT/CM/Stanford region since we still have many tiles to improve there but what did you think?
Note: need a name for worker G and H.
(1) Last thing ... where to place city 6. In my mind, there are two good options. 7 of silver and 9 of silver. 7 of silver loses crabs but it is closer to the rest of our empire (except cornell which cant really build military now) which might make a difference if GG come towards us) and it also gets more forests. 9 is better long temr with crabs. Are you sure we get trade routes with our empire if we just have road on silver for city 6?
(2) Last thing again ... are you sure we want city 7 up north? I was thinking we'd use that workboat to explore but I wasn't counting on our scout doing that so it is kind of wasted production .. I definitely want one up there to use that workboat but we might consider putting 7 more to the east to claim that land away from Care Bears ...and there are rivers so we get better cottages.
CM - Yes, that was the plan: grow to size6 on something and put CM on settler for 1 turn. On T75 angry citizen no more and we can regrow CM again, prepaire to silver connected. But I'm afraid we had to finish chariot soon, to put it in MIT for garrison duty. After CM at size7 we could whip the settler 3pop and keep 2sci to GS on T84.
MIT - ok
Stanford - ok. Just like MIT we could delay Axe/Spear later if situation not so urgent. Tho, I'm afraid we had to hurry with units in silver city. Spear could be inside that city on T79-80, I suppose. Could be too late if Rome decide to visit us with 2-3 chariots before.
UC - I was gonna grow size6 and slave settler. Settler done on T78. I was gonna put 1 chop into it also, but its not critical. We could save forests till after Math.
Cornell - Yes, pretty straight forward. I was gonna farm flood plains after cow pastured, but maybe it make sense to connect Stone instead.
-----
Warrior: I don't agree with northern warrior moved so far. He is spawnbusting the area. If we move him now, there is 2 tiles barb archer could appear every turn. We have no military in that area to deal with it now. Once we planted city there or have some unit near, we could move him.
-----
Workers:
A and F: A moved on top of E and finish the road. That'll allow E move to chop into Library in Cornell in 1turn.
I was gonna put F on choping into UC settler, but he could do something else instead.
C and D: I was gonna move them back to flood plains and farm it, but Stone is another possibility.
E: E put 1 turn into road, see above about 'A and F'
B and G: Yes, I was gonna move them on silver and start mine it on T75(if city#6 7 of silver) or on T76(if city#6 9 of silver)
H: I have no idea. Probably cottage between CM and MIT or mine between MIT and Stanford.

(1) I'm undecided too. Yes, I'm sure we'll get TR with empire, just need road silver tile. I was wrong before -- if we plant 7 of silver, we'll connect silver faster (T77), cause we don't need to road silver. If we planted with Crab in BFC, we need a road to connect city, but don't need a road to connect silver itself, so it would be T78 for silver connected and T79 for city#6 connected to the empire.
(2) Workboat to explore is nice, but there could be ocean north. And we don't need explore coast for TR now. I'm not sure about city#7 location, but corn/fish/horses/dye is a nice spot and potentially Moai site (we need granary and LH before Moai). I want to explore coast a bit with wb or war, but we can't do it now, imo.
That's kinda nice exchange with Asterix. I'll no comment or reply so far, want your opinion, DMOC.
And they ask wheat from us basically for free, which I accept.
I said no comments, but I really want to ally with Yuufo now and put attention on Rome and LP with cooperation from Yos and OS.
Quote:Hi,
I have got DMOC message in game requesting chat or e-mail contact. Why not use this email? I also have you on gmail chat. Could not reply in game due to pause.
Best,
Asterix
Quote:Hi,
It was my msg in game, but you kinda answer already with your previous mail.
If you prefer communicate via mail, we'll try to reply soon.
I understand your position, but it maybe a little counter productive in the long run.
Anyway, I hope we could clear some misunderstanding between us and communicate better in the future.
I'm still thinking chat is a better way to communicate, but if you prefer e-mails and ingame messages - we can do it your way.
Regards,
TeddyKGB
Quote:Well, if you want to clear "miscomunications" between us start by telling Yuufo that you offering him NAP was misunderstanding - since you promised us mutual defense pact first.
As we discussed, as not cooperating does not seem to be good strategy - but it is still better for our team then being taken advantage like that. One would think that having two strongest teams in game as your neighbors, you will be interested in building trust and being loyal towards your allies, but it is certainly your call if you prefer to go for the short term advantage (?).
I am sorry, but I do not see a point of chatting until the trust is being re-established between our teams.
Another diplo from Yos. So far so good. Let's not lost that ally like Asterix.
Quote:Hi TeddyKGB and Team EggHeads,
Oh no! That would have been so great if they left that city for you to raze. We agree we want to work with you to continue putting pressure on Rome. Could you let us know if they do communicate with you at all? We'll also share all our info about them with you obviously.
Here is a picture from T68 that shows three warriors defending Neapolis, and the latest power graph from T72. The most recent 10k spike is IW, which they completed last turn, and I think the other 8k increase was either an axe + warrior, a pair of chariots, or chariot + spear.
Talk to you soon,
Blame Caledorn
Should we offer OB to them as well? We agreed to no-scouting.
We may need close borders with someone soon, tho. I'm afraid SutOxy could be on GLh despite their expansion, or maybe LP is.
EDIT: some interesting info on that screenshots from Yos about techs.
Quote:Oh sad to hear that How bad did it go? did you attack and fail or just retreat after seeing Rome's army?
Of course our defensive pact proposal still holds. It can be aimed either against Rome only or against other civs too. Private or public, but I think a public pact is best because I would like to deter them from attacking us, not reacting after a war declaration.
Where did Rome's EP go?
Thanks for the screenshot. There is no barbarian that we can see ; by the way next turn the borders you see by the river will expand one tile west (Oracle city). That should help for fogbusting.
The production of the settler for this city is about to begin but we will found 2 other cities before that, not at all in this part of the world. Reaching the 10-12 cities hallmark quickly is paramount to our expansion ^^
Well I think that's all for tonight!
Yuufo
If you didn't notice, Yuufo propose defensive pact some time ago. I reply: 'we'll think about it'.
Still, their expansion looks nice from his words. Damn, we need more happiness now.
I would like to anounce def pact with India just to read e-mail from Asterix after. That would be fun.
