Ok. I took only one city this turn. Here's the attack:
I believe I lost this first attack and then easily won the next two.
I'm going to push a little at Nakor's western cities as these crappy northern ones can wait a little because he'll be unable to reinforce those. I'll have a follow-up wave coming anyways:
I have a CR2 Rifle on Irene. I'll drop off the worker/settler pair, pick it up, and then go join in on the north cities. Anyways, I'm pressuring his south Watson cities:
I actually killed the top unit here. The rest of my Rifles were unable to attack as I loaded some fresh ones from Moriarty (the island east of Watson). I'm setting myself up to fork as many cities as possible, and I'm bringing along Caravels to use as scouts. The westernmost Galleon can hit 3 cities, the other just 2. Well, it can also do 3 if you count Point Break. Also, in the north:
That Galleon can also hit Castle Humbris along with Scooters. So we'll just see what he decides to defend. He'll have some Rifles of course, but there's no way for him to defend all of these. I can also login this turn to see which of these cities he whipped, so I'll know where the Rifles are. This is why it's difficult for him:
He chose to defend this city, so... I'm just ignoring it. The Hilleast region:
I'll probably just heal up here while I wait for the second wave. I then tried to swing a couple trades:
I was wrong when I said I had Iron. It's on a tile of Brick's former capital that he still controls
. I'll get it back once his new capital goes down, but I could really use 10T of Iron so I can upgrade some Caravels -> Frigates and really make things difficult for Nakor. Also offered this:
Pretty sure from Civstats that he accepted this. The gold may let me turn down my culture slider. Also, my peace offer was a touch more aggressive this time:
Still though, I only asked for cities that he either 1) Can't reinforce or 2) I can hit next turn with significant force. I would entertain a counter-offer, but he seems uninterested in sending one. I wish you could have a two-sided peace deal. I would've happily thrown in a couple techs, but there's no way to communicate that to him. The joys of AI Diplo.
