Fox News is basically blowing up Trump's speech .  A few towing the Trump line but most basically saying the accusations are baseless and deceptive.

Is it too pie-in-the-sky to want to have these threads for reasonable discussion without things getting to a point where I feel like I have to put on a Moderator vest every-time I check the latest posts?

Data is clear that Trump has made big gains among hispanics, LGBTQ (28% support him in exit polls), and muslims, with some increase among blacks. While clearly not actually a fascist or a white supremacist, he is the only one that can include all of these in a coalition with rust belt and hardcore evangelical whites. This makes him dangerous to both wings of the establishment.

I'd say it is a clear sign that there have been, are and always will be people that vote against there self best-interest in the hopes that appeasing the bully somehow will improve their standing with him. Apart from that, this seems like the typical take we've seen about every single white supremacist, fascist or similar type: Well, he can't be x because someone from group x voted him. We have a "Jews for AFD", while the AFD is very close to be an actual Nazi-party... That's similar to all these racist assholes that spout: "I'm not racist, I have a neighbor that is a muslim and I talk with him. And he is one of those that are alright, it's just all the others.". You know, look back to Germany 1938-1945 - they did not just take "the others", they always also took your neighbor that was "alright". And maybe took you too for being a friend of 'these types'. 

Did I mention that there are reports of people belonging to one of the groups that were killed by the hundred of thousands in the concentration camps that actually worked for Nazi-Germany? You are not a racist because you have a muslim friend (or voter), you are racist because you say racist things, you do racist things, you act like a racist asshole.

Also: Quite honestly, the issue is not even what one is attributing Trump as, the issue is that he is destroying values left, right and center, shitting on decency, shitting on diplomacy, shitting on democratic procedures. And please spare me the counter-argument that Trump is just defending his rights to a fair vote. What he is requesting is not asking for a fair vote, he asks that the election is stopped before all votes are counted so that he can win by ignoring the people. He asks that the election is stopped and calls it in question, so that - even if he loses - he can keep us his legend of "I'm undefeated, they just stole the election from me!". Because he can't accept that he might have lost. It's just cognitive dissonance that he can't resolve. 

And in 2024, you'll have him or his daughter to "Win back America!" - probably his daughter, because then they can also add the "You wanted a woman president, what's your issue now?" (that she is as racist and bigoted as him).

I firmly believe the pandemic hurt biden far more than it helped him - fear of lockdown pushed a lot of latinos in Texas to go towards Trump. Look at the rio grande counties. Muslims used to vote heavily republican until 2000, but I don't see evidence of them shifting to Trump.

Since you're here T-Hawk, going back to our pre-election discussion, what do you think of Trump claiming victory on election day before anything was decided, and the next day on Twitter "claiming" states like Pennsylvania, Georgia, NC and Michigan for the Republicans?

I think it's personal speech, cheerleading, with no legal basis or relevance.  I don't expect any of that to affect the actual electoral college.  Remember that the whole point of the EC is that the power comes from the states.  The states designate their electors, the federal government doesn't control that.  And remember that none of the media reporting is official in any way, nothing matters or is actually resolved until the EC balloting.

I don't expect, and would not support, Trump trying to hold the White House or executive power against an actual electoral college loss, or somehow trying to circumvent or change or invalidate the electors designated by a state.

Hah, what this sounds like is the most feared option - Republican legislatures appoint republican electors and steal the election in the last way they can. I fully expect the USA to de facto balkanize if this happens, with the federal government grinding to a total halt.

That de facto balkanization sounds like an optimistic take on that outcome.

same, as I dont like it when some complete bastard foreign official comes in and starts telling us in the Parliament in Budapest what laws to pass and what laws not to pass. In our sovereign country no less!

it would also mean one less parasitic set of multis carting profit from my partially impoverished home country to the money-filled imperial core.
