Understood about the 78888 city. I bet there is a land bridge east of me and I really want to know that for sure. If it's there I can scout in that direction. I have some bad memory of recognizing a land bridge to late in PB52.
EDIT I will most likely send a unit N as fogbuster, which can also explore more city-sites there

Well played, mister.
I decided not to defend against the lion. Mainly because I doubt that I need the extra XP and promotion in the near future. Barbs will turn up sooner with emperor and against those most of my promotions won't help me.

My gut feeling was right and there is another land bridge to my east. Looks like Lewwyn put jungle on every land bridge. Oh and we have stone and are now a happy IND player. Unfortunately this very likely means that everybody else also has both wonder resources, but at least it looks like they are further away from the starting position.
Next goal for the scout is to uncover the few tiles south of the stone and then cross over to another neighbor via the land bridge.

I'm fairly sure that 9988(8) of Clock Town is the key site to settle as #4, it will supply all further cities we plant towards the land bridges (such as 99999 of CT). Looks like we can't neglect the east quite as much as I'd hoped, we will likely have to settle 99999 before completing the first ring of cities around the capital. I think the "Oracle triangle" can stand, though -- I'd be fine with giving up a site on a jungle bridge for early Monarchy/MC in our circumstances, especially since we're likely not losing control of any bridge's endpoint as a fortress.
I advise against settling stone early or queuing Stonehenge at all. I expect it won't negotiate many early borders through this jungle, and the "safe" land looks manageable without Henge monuments -- lots of opportunities to settle with overlap. The window for Henge is also when we need to push workers/settlers as hard as possible with our slowish opening, whereas Oracle comes at a more opportune time. Enqueuing both wonders before T60 is absurd, let's not (even IND failgold is not as good as building warriors for garrison before the copper era, I think, and chops should really go into workers/settlers instead). Mids is possible but I'd prefer Colossus given the map info. City sites near stone look comparatively poor until 99999 can be settled with overlapped improved corn.
To me, it looks like 222 of scout is flat unforested: in that light, scout 32 or 33? I don't know, but I'd propose 32-1x- and then swerving back towards the eastern jungle land bridge by hugging the coast, including the tile currently 66 of scout.
Good call on the E land bridge.

The 9988 region is also on my mind for one of the early cities for the reasons you mentioned.
I don't plan to settle stone early and the plan for Stonehenge was only to put some hammers into it while growing the capitol after whipping settlers and/or workers, no chops or extra whip overflow. The goal is not to complete it but earn some fail gold. Of course warriors are important, but those are also easily built in the new cities that start growing. But yes warriors have priority.
I too prefer Colossus so far, because it also synergies well with MC being the important tech for IND. My idea for the stone was a city 1E of the stone as a fortress in the east, but more exploration is necessary.
Scout will move 31 because there is a hill underneath the fog and after that it can move 2x next doing the circle you proposed. I plan to uncover the water tiles S of the corn with my first warrior.

No big report, because I'm still exploring the east and want to come back with a full overview of that region when it's done. But more importantly somebody founded Buddishm. That means one of the Mysticism owning players has gone directly for Meditation. These can only be:
- Jowy
- naufragar
- Mr. Cairo
- Ramk
- Superdeath
- Donovan Zoi

I want to bet on superdeath with my left hand and on Donovan Zoi with my right hand. In particular, if it's the latter, I'm honest-to-God expecting us to miss the Oracle. I guess it could also be Ramk, I have no idea what he plays like.
edit: Jowy/Cairo/naufragar probably want worker techs, don't think it's them. If I'm being serious, I don't think it's superdeath, either. Just guessing, but he seems more the type who would have gone for getting Hin/Bud into city #2 instead. DZ going boat first or Ramk is my guess.
late edit: Lewwyn went Spain, Meditation first in pbem78 (and won), which might be a weak indicator (= precedent) that it's DZ.
