The Broken Drum - Lurker's Thread

I have no idea Irgy. I certainly didn't place any on the map.

I think I read in Ravus Sol's thread that he had a warrior out exploring that made it passed the Azer city. If it did then there are barrow's near Acheron and so a Skeleton may have killed his warrior and upgraded to a Spectre. We can't ask him out-right obviously! wink

Dantski is probably going to be dead by the end of Stasis.
Stasis+Samhain+For the Horde is a rough ride. I don't think Clan is broken on a barb heavy map. I don't think Illians are broken on a barb heavy map. I do think that a coordinated combo is way too scary.

I would also say that Ravus should probably priest rush the Clan.

I have this sinking fealing that if they do keep playing this game they two non barbarian people will fall to barbaian hordes and the on barbian nation will need to do anything to end their existance. banghead

I realize the map makers don't want to here it but the map is messed up. Not going to blame them I think the settings chosen for this varient play were the problem.

Well, that's the risk of playing a variant really. There's no better way to find this out than to play it through. I did say the clan would be overpowered before the game started mind you, but then again I was more concerned about Rantine (who was basically somewhat neutered by the mapmaker) and I only mentioned the worldspell in passing. We'll never know whether Rantine would have been too good or not.

Hey, guys, since the game got cancelled, here I am.

No problem. About the barb cities defenders issue, I have to say that I got really frustrated at first. But the Clan ended up being too overpowered in the end, even without Rantine coming into play.

Thanks for the effort put in the map, guys!

fire&ice' Wrote:I think ichbad can pillage/expore graveyards so maybe he set off the wraith then oh crap. shhh

Its not like he is keeping his tread up to date. rolleye

@Jkaen Almost everyone is my guess. Ichbad would be fine and the illians whoever they are would be find until the barbarian started garthering because he was the only target left.

My guess is the illians won't donate their statis to the barbs seeing as how they are geting screwed over and don't want people quiting because they are to burried in shit.

I didn't pop any lairs this game, just got two huts. I didn't see any graveyards (the ones I could pop), just barrows and forts.

Sorry about the lack of updates near the end. I was planning a big update with the FtH info and the diplomacy I conducted... But, alas, it is over now...

Ah, and commenting on the whole stronger defenders deal. The problem with the Rantine + weapons + Heroic Strenght is that it'll take too much time to happen.

I could only get to Iron weapons if the game dragged for a long time. By that time, not having my entire continent under my control would mean that the competition was way ahead of me. And I couldn't be sure about havind Bronze and Iron.

Even the heroic Strenght promo takes a lot to come by. The prerequisites are very steep (combat 5, I think). So it'd mean something like 40 turns to get the xp needed (since I couldn't level on the barbs). And 40 turns is a lot on a quick map.

But I didn't think the clan would end up being that powerful with these settings. Of course, if it wasn't for the illian world spell and samhaim, my position would be way worst then it was.
