[SPOILERS] Novice's nominal nonchalance

Serdoa built a Warrior, and I'm pretty sure he's researching a tech with a pre-req probably BW.

Both Mackoti & Nicolae probably researching techs without pre-reqs, ie Mining most likely (or Wheel for Mackoti).

Oooh, forum came back just as I finished the C&D for this turn smile

Really the only news of the turn is that Mackoti grew to size 2.

I think next turn more happens ...

But this turn also revealed some very interesting map info.

That peak there is the equivalent of the peak to my southwest:

Which means that settling southwest suddenly looks very attractive. Settle for triple food and found a religion for a border pop. Delay pottery until after the religion. Settle the third city in between, for fish and for sharing two of the food resources. It's also a good Moai spot. And we have enough forests for an instant wonder.

I wonder if there's stone and marble on the map, though. How does the Mirrorland script handle those resources?

When I get Bronze Working I'll know if this plan is viable, since there are no horses at these city sites. I'll have to start roading and moving my warrior towards the site prior to that, though. But I think I'll do that and hope for copper somewhere in those hills.

Oh, and tile bleed analysis shows that there's a body of water to the east of my scout which is at least four tiles tall and is big enough to be salt water.

So something like this.

There is stone... on what looks like an island.

Grew to size 3 at eot. Sheep pasture will complete in time for me to work it next turn. That warrior will explore and probably end up on the location of my second city.

Stuff happened to the others this turn:

Mackoti got a tech and a 4k soldier increase. Now that could be The Wheel, but actually given he grew last turn it's much more likely to be Mining and a Warrior built.

Nicolae grew and got a 2k soldier tech, given the beakers invested I think this is Animal Husbandry.

I thought if Seven was researching AH (without any tech swapping) then he would've finished it this turn. So perhaps he's researching BW first? That'd finish next turn I think.

I'm considering settling the triple food city shown here and chop out the Oracle and pick Monarchy. Then I'll have two awesome cottage cities that can grow very big very quickly.

Third city will have to go wherever copper is.

Oracle at eot40 should be doable.

Serdoa grew his capital to size 3, which is actually a turn later than I'd've predicted - waiting for sheep to be improved & put a turn into worker or settler perhaps? Or I've miscounted smile

Seven grew to size 2, and got a tech and 2k soldiers. I'm going to say Animal Husbandry even tho that's (also) a turn later than I expected.
