Btw, ironically, TBS gained enough score this turn that we still can't see his research because he moved up as many places as we did.

still can't see TBS's research, sigh. I hope they add in that scoreboard fix soon because this is starting to get on my nerves. we're very close to being in the first-half of the scoreboard, but still so far...
Whipped the granary in HT. Nice whip imo; a "perfect" whip, to get the maximum from the granary, would be 6/22 (from working the plains hill iinstead of a regular plains last turn), but then we wouldn't grow back to size 2 (7+3*5=22) in just 3 turns.
B will settle next turn and work a grassland hill forest to build a workboat, not bad considering it'll be a 1f3h tile with the expansive workboat bonus. Scout done next turn, but will take 3T for Carnival to hit size 4. Gonna have it start on another spear. Zoo hits size 4 next turn and will be unhappy for 2T, but I'd rather it keep growing. Need to put more cottages up there now... wish we had about another dozen workers...

Before I play the turn here in a bit, I stated that on T58 we had plans to put out 4 settlers, 2 Hammams, 2 spears, an archer, and an axe by T73 out of our 3 core cities. T66 is a bit over half that time period, and, thus far, we have produced 2 settlers, a spear, 2 workers, a scout, and one Hammam. I think that qualifies as on-pace! The rest of the military and the other Hammam will be done on track no problem, but I'm a bit worried about the settlers. One will certainly be produced by the capital, where it will, in a few turns, turn a chop + double whip from (5->3) to produce one of them, but I'm not sure about the second. I suppose it will need to be from CP, where I turn 3 chops into another settler, although one of those chops needs to go into finishing the worker in its queue first. Gonna be close...

Ugh, how annoying, I can't connect to the server because of spacey or dtay, probably for reasons related to the steampatch fix. What a pain... hope whichever one is the problem logs out soon. Had similar problems to this with PB20 with HitAnyKey this morning, but I could connect fine this evening. Edit: looks like its dtay.

Finally connected after forever of trying. We settled B this turn, tentatively named "Clambake," go ahead, take a guess why. I've only ever actually been to a clambake once in my life, many years ago as a guest of an ex-girlfriend when I visited her family in Rhode Island. I remember her being pretty fun... at least until she stomped on my heart...
Workboat eta 6 turns, then a Granary whipped a few turns after that.
Other status: We need more workers! We have 7 workers but they're all clearcutting forests and not improving tiles. We're losing 2C a turn on missing trade routes for those fishing villages. HT will complete a chop to finish a workboat next turn. CP needs 2 additional turns to grow back to size 2, but many chops are coming in 2, 3, and 4 turns that were intended to go into a worker and then a settler... I wanted to get out an axe too though, so one of those chops will just have to go into that. Carnival hits size 5 in 2 turns, timed to coincide with chop. PP gets its workboat out just in time for it hitting size 2, then I'll build a road route there. Sailing in 4 turns, so I'll only need to road to one of the two fishing villages. Zoo hits 5 in 3 turns, and then works 2 scientists for awhile while slowly growing to size 6. Scout eta to the goody hut in 4 turns, and we won't have to worry about losing the race accidentally to dazedroyalty as he's still hanging around the area between CP and Carnival.
On the foreign front, oxy's CY is a lot higher than ours and is at an equal number of cities, while TBS's GNP is huge but is still at 4 cities.

reminder that 22*1.35 = 29.7, not 30.
second time this game this has happened... no reason for it this time either, as I coulda just worked the workboat last turn but i didn't want to lose any hammers to roundoff error. ugh.

ahaha thank you man..
its only a loss of two food, but our CY has been rising at an incredibly steep incline lately and I'm excited to keep it going.

Nothing really to show with screenshots, but our CY has gone from ~30th place a dozen turns ago to 9th, with 3 additional pop coming next turn and 2 more food resources hooked up. GNP is 8th now, and will look much better in 2 turns when we got 2 more trade routes online and a few more pop. So lookin pretty good, and I'll post demos in 2 turns when we're lookin even better.
Unfortunately, our western neighbor (TBS) has got to be near the top of GNP due to his NEW GREAT SCIENTIST, and our southern neightbor, across the straight, oxy, has got to be in the top few of CY. But, then again, he's Catherine, so go figure.
We're on pace to clear-cut every tree but 2 in our empire by the time we hit T73, which was the end of the first 15T plan. I think this will be somewhere about ~160 bonus hammers from Mathematics within the span of 8 turns - not bad!

HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.......... I've been thinking about this spot:
The tile where it sez "lion t58", except it would be "Pink dot t76." That is to say, my settler that I'll be whipping in 2 turns could settle there on t76 to secure silver, grab a sheep (although it would be harder to keep), and share the dear and wheat. It's a fairly aggressive plant - 10 tiles away from his capital, 7 away from TBS's, and would likely piss him off. It would make my empire VERY wide, something like 18 tiles from city to city. It seems so greedy to me but maybe that's what I'll need to do to get an advantage... TBS gained a couple more points of score so we still can't see his research ( ) but with our new tech next turn there's no way that he'll slip away again.
