A bit hard if the target claims he has redirected on you and another seer claims an innocent result.

@Serdoa

It doesn't say so in the PM but I asked for clarification and got that I would leave if you are lynched. At that point Jabbz had not yet decided what would happen if you were nightkilled.

I thought about using this lack of information as proof that you are scum (The GM has not thought about you getting nightkilled because you are scum) but decided this to be unsporting.

Well any chance of claiming info on your target went out the window when you claimed third party on D1. I suppose in this particular game the easiest way to win as the lyncher would have ended up backfiring, although even then you could have waited to hear their results first and save the fake info for the next day.

That is information you know as GM will be out in the open if you don't explicitly forbid to tell it. So you take counter-measures, as was done by Jabbz.

Yeah, modkill would be over the top. Easier to rant about it when you have no power or responsibility wink.

Poor Lewwyn is sitting here having to defend himself, and he's the damned game MVP.

Bigger Spoiler
Bacchus used IP Masking, basically ninja, before conducting the kill. Had Lewwyn not locked down Bacchus, two town would have confirmed that Bacchus did nothing during the night, yet Gaz would have died. At that point, the game would have broken wide fuckin open.

Seriously felt a bit underapprieciated there for a bit. lol Basically every person in the game scum or village told me I'd done wrong. Come on folks, a little trust please! nod

For the record this week was insane with work and obligations. I guess I don't blame people for thinking I was suspicious for lower activity. I literally didn't have the time cry

Hey! I had a bad time to lose internet for a day. Well played everyone, Bacchus i thought you played a tough hand very well. And particularly well played by Novice, Serdoa and Lewwyn. Sorry for doubting you Lewwyn!

Ah, the comfort of being back at a keyboard.

I guess I just wanted to add that I really dug the theme of this game Jabbz, and it was well timed since I am on a hard science fiction kick at the moment having just read Aurora by Kim Stanley Robinson and halfway through Seveneves by Neal Stephenson. And I thought it was well played all round, and I liked the meta of calculating how abilities were paired.

I think balance-wise it mainly just suffered from being like a 13-player setup contracted for slightly too small a group. With 3 scum and more town, the sensor ability would have been less swingy (and we did get about the perfect use of it this game, so we were lucky). Also, perhaps more importantly, if the game had been expected to go 4+ days then townies would have had to be more selective about when they used their abilities. With 10 players the correct strategy was just to fire one then the other, so the useage limitations built into town didn't really matter.

Anyway, it had lots of good ideas, and I would love if we could out a way to get polygraph back in again, in a way we could balance (or perhaps a setup that would encourage town to tell lies too). If you ever want to try another setup Jabbz, I'd be in.

And well done Bacchus, you played great and I hope we can do it again soon (on the same side preferably!). And thanks again Zak!

That's a good analysis, more players would have rectified some issues with the setup. Also, I think the presence of Avatars should have been public knowledge. It would have helped scum in this case, and it would have prevented town from self destructing in other cases. Or just remove the sensor ability.

Oh and scum need the villager PM or the relevant info from it. Any symmetries (such as everybody having 4 abilities) must be public knowledge.

Setup issues notwithstanding, I really enjoyed this game (as tends to be the case with won games). smile
I have to run.
