The bias would be that they want the story of the undefeated team with the huge grievance, and they'd vote for that rather than who's the better team (which would likely still be Alabama.)

I still believe both votes would be consistent with the guidelines (Alabama over FSU for the playoff, FSU over Alabama for #1 in the AP poll).

Heh, that's the same argument I was making about the playoff. Alabama over FSU is the right call by the guidelines but it also looks the same as ratings/SEC bias. The hypothetical FSU for the AP poll may be the right call by the guidelines (since "performance" is so loosely defined) but also looks the same as bias in favor of the voters voting themselves a story.

Re your other point - UGA being placed over FSU for the committee rankings - FSU got that nod because those rules specifically say to consider a conference championship. Bama has that to match FSU (and top it for a stronger conference) and UGA doesn't.

(Also Ohio State should be alongside UGA for being better than / ranked over FSU. They both have better wins than FSU, losing only to a playoff team in their CCG - of course the game tOSU lost was de facto the Big 10 CCG.)

FSU vs Georgia tomorrow.

Well, Georgia vs a skeleton crew of barely any talent left on FSU after all the opt outs and transfers.

Oh, that game doesn't count at all then. This also makes the betting spread not mean anything too.

If FSU somehow wins Alabama should have been cut instead.

Well it looks like FSU isn't going to win. lol

It's a Big10 vs Big10 matchup, which is infinitely better than an SEC vs SEC matchup.

Gotta be the most geographically northern title game ever - edging out that OSU/Oregon game from the early playoff.
