So Tas's bizzare open borders decision means we have two knights and a warrior wandering the Troll lands (who also want us to leave). I'll send them into M3's territory ASAP. Would you guys have agreed to gifting the knights to TEAM anyway? In other news M3 launched a golden age and we're about four turns from knowing what they are researching.
Our first missionary will start exploring next turn...
I think we'll have astronomy on t160 (ish) by which time we should have four or five settlers, all loaded onto galleys which can then be upgraded for the ocean journey. We can then get another five settlers by t164. It looks like there is only jungle on the Island, so we'll need to use a lot of whipping to get things going. Are we going for production? Workshops and mines everywhere that isn't food?
Trolls are making their money from capturing cities - they're on 64gpt and 492 gold this turn.
M3 seem to be on the up on the powerometer. Is that just to catch up or have they got some plans? They haven't replied to my email about extending the NAP yet...

That's a little worrying about m3 building troops and not replying about our nap extension. Is there any chance they could be after the pirates instead?
How will we finish astronomy with enough gold leftover to upgrade all those galleys?

Going after Pirates makes sense for M3 now--might as well get them before Trolls do (do they realize Pirates have Gunpowder though?)
Are we building Heroic Epic anywhere? That along with a couple other unit producers should certainly be enough to hold off M3 at least for now (though probably not a full-blown Trolls attack).

I was going to build heroic epic when we get marble.
The good news is m3 just emailed saying they're on board with the nap extension and marble gift so where do you want HE? Smooth is going to be a globe draft camp, so I don't know if it'll have enough production to justify it. Foil and dirk are both options, as are katana and jemmy...
I really like Smoothfoundland, it could be SFL for short...
And if we can't finish astro with enough cash for upgrades C-H and I thought we should delay it a turn

Brace yourselves, this will be a long report. Our poor knights are kicked out of TEAM and Troll lands. So lets go investigate M3 and Pirates instead.
Looks like there is a lot of jungle on Smoothfoundland. Right now we could finish Astro in exactly five turns but wouldn't have enough cash for upgrading galleys, so I'll set us to 100% for a few turns, but will sandbag the turn before we get it.
The new windmill in Occam means it grows this turn. How about windmilling the other hill too? What do we build here after the Aqueduct? A Temple? An Observatory?
10 turns to the great person if we starve. 11 turns if we don't...
Smooth Criminal has an 11 food surplus at size 4 (needs 14 to grow), 12 at size 5 (15 to grow), 13 at size 6 (16 to grow). So with the globe we can draft every turn, almost forever. I don't think we want Heroic epic here. I'll whip the theatre next turn for overflow into the globe.
Dirk is getting an explorer for SFL, then will build a couple of settlers.
Epee will whip the theatre next turn.
Foil will start a settler next turn, then needs to finish the knight so its hammers don't decay. After that another settler?
Gladius is slated to produce two settlers for SFL.
Halberd will grow this turn, then start on a couple of settlers before finishing off the market.
In The Stone will whip this library to overflow into the National Epic as soon as M3 give us marble. I'll chop that forest into the epic too, but it'll still take about 20 turns, so I think we'll need a worker whip to overflow some more hammers into it.
Jemmy grows and finishes the theatre and starts on two settlers. It also pops its border this turn, so I'm hoping we'll regain some tiles from Troll culture.
Katana will give Oathkeeper the furs at some point, it's on settler duty too.
Longsword is just growing BOG's cottages for it. Is a courthouse a reasonable build here?
I'm not sure we need a courthouse after the harbour here - library instead?
We need to get a missionary in Naginata to go fishing, but we also want to use them to explore SFL... Maybe we'll get our first( ) random spread? You'll have to imagine what it looks like I'm afraid.
I think Oathkeeper will be a comerce city, so should we build the harbour or library after the trading post?
Pike for commerce too?
Looks like Trolls have done a lot of fighting in TEAM lands...
Feel free to figure out what techs we're up/down...

So our GNP is low because Astronomy doesn't have any pre-requisites, when I change to alphabet (1 pre-req and three others have it) we go top. I don't know if that's good - Trolls aren't teching at the moment.

I'd go for a observatory after the aquaduct--we can either build a cheap unit or cash between the aquaduct and observatory.

I agree Observatory next in OR is the way to go. Courthouse in Longsword and Library in Machete seem reasonable. If we need a culture pop in Nagi in order to net a fish, then I'd send the missionary there. I can't believe we haven't gotten any free spreads yet! I would do the harbor in Oathkeeper. It's too bad our new commerce cities will be losing the colossus bonus soon.
Things are looking good! We're definitely in a better position to win than we were before we attacked Trolls, and if TEAM can keep Trolls occupied for a bit, then we'll be in really good shape.

All those sound good - I'll send our third missionary to Nagi, want to do more scouting with the second one... The Colossus is giving us 26 commerce before bonii right now, which would only increase over time. Its a shame to obsolete it, I wonder if we should even have bothered building it?

So we have a golden age coming in around 10 turns. I think at least a couple of cities should be trying to push out more great people, so Pacifism would be useful to have. If we run Caste System then the artists can quickly pop the borders for our new SFL cities. Organized religion would also help get our infrastructure up quicker in the new cities on Smoothfoundland after the GA. I don't think anywhere has the hammers or forests to build Shewadagon Paya, and even if they did we want settlers right now. So do we need to research Philosophy and Monarchy?
Also how far are we from Communism? If we can take over the majority of SFL State Property becomes vital...
