I'm glad you liked it! I already found it useful while Fintourist was playing the turn.

Seriously, though, I think that island-continent is our future, and we need to settle all of it as fast as possible before Ichabandit does any more. Basically I am advocating, if they aren't already, that our cities there become nothing but worker-settler-escort pumps. Just like the early game; nothing but REX.
I agree, I think Issy will chop a quick settler at size four, then perhaps we pick the next city to have as many forests as possible to keep producing settlers fast?

I wonder if plako views the island as desirable? He has another between him and m_h that I hope m_h will contest, and trying to muscle in on our island could be a stretch. If so we need to think about discouraging Ichabod from messing with our patch. Best way I can see is to have a lot of well-developed cities already there so that anything he settles becomes ours. We're going to send Lunch to meet WilliamLP, retep and Bacchus, offering Open Borders and map trades along the way, while that's going on our galley could keep an eye on Ichy's navy, to see if he's putting together another landing party.

You feel silly? I've got pictures of my guinea pigs as my desktop. A new one every day. Now which of us is sillier?
@Fintourist. I'll try to play it early, will see if I can catch you on chat if anything isn't obvious.
Oh and Suttree delenda est!

Yeah, I kinda thought plako would go for the island nearer him first. I mean, I guess he could jump over to ours from Seine ... the possibility shouldn't really affect our plans as long as our plan is to settle it fast!

Suttree update:
- No visible moves Maybe the stack is currently moving towards Königgrätz..
About coming turn:
- I left some signs for worker move suggestions. Most of them probably pretty obvious, but I thought there's no harm..
- Unlike I wrote in my previous post, our WB does not need to go north this turn yet. City M will be founded on T114 not T113
- What should the worker SW of France do? Because we will whip the city it does not need to help the other worker with cottaging. It could move SW and start roading towards a new island site? It could also move towards Isandlwana and help with settler chops?
(- What is our next site on that island anyways? Maybe next to rice in the SW, or something more towards Ichabod?)
- Jowy & TBS are holding the turn, the positive thing about this is that our playing window probably moves to European evening time at least for the next turns.

Turn 111 preamble
We need to name another unit after BRick.
Wow. Confucianism? (I said no.)
In Jamestown, where the culture is actually very useful.. For culture it doesn't matter if we whip the barracks now or next turn - either way borders should pop around t117 - but if we whip now I think we regrow this turn.
dtay's galley is heading back, probably to pick up a settler...
Other stuff: When Cannae grows we can cancel the whale trade with dtay. Dunkirk starts on another Axe, where do we want this one? Also lets move BrickAstley the bowman to the hill SW-S to keep an eye on that road... We'll have three workers for Light Brigade, so I think I want to road both dye tiles with I, probably starting with the southern one. I'd put C on the forest W of Light Brigade this turn to chop so that he can move to the farm the next turn.

Turn 111 mid-turn snack
Did some of the scouting moves, some of the worker moves and assigned tiles. Rest must wait until we have finished our chat with Harry and ym has played.
Ichabod has plans for "our" island:
And suttree delenda est:

Totally! I already named one of our new axes! Or should we actually have Brick the Chariot as well..

I think whipping next turn is better!

Have you checked that we already can?

I think in the east..

Are you sure about this? I'm not saying no, but there Brick might be out of position regardless of suttree's attacking direction.
Things to do this turn:- Settle our 12th city
- Whip settler in France
- finish worker micro
- Move our military units near Jamestown
- Decide build in Hastings (bow or axe or spy?)
- Decide build in Jamestown (do we want our axe to be 1-whippable or 2-whippable.. first is more flexible in short-term, second better if we don't get attacked during the next 3 turns..))
- Decide build in Dunkirk (probably more military?)

I just noticed that suttree is paying a 2gpt tribute to yurimack.. It seems that he really puts an effort into his revenge on us.
Btw, should we have tech on this turn? We can finish priesthood with 10 % research if we want.

That's steeper than I was hoping. I think we need to have at least six axes in Hastings in the next three turns.

Three turns remaining on the deal. Should we give him first dibs on our silver as he's such a good friend?

No. Delenda etc.
So is city 12 Light Brigade or Little Bighorn? As a proud Englishman I think Light Brigade is funnier/stupider, but I'm open to opinions...

We are not worried about this though. That site is I think less than 10 tiles away from Ichabod's capital so it's natural that he will get it! We are hoping to get couple of other decent sites on the island. Especially a rice-silk-clams plant in the southern part of the island. If we get that + some kind of a filler between that city and Isandlwana we will be happy.
We actually offered fish for fish trade to Ichabandit this turn as a sign of our hoping to get a peaceful relationship!

I guess ... would one of you be able to post an overview shot of the whole island with resource bubbles on so I can see the dotmap? Maybe after he settles the city so it's on there ...
I think it should be Little Bighorn 'cause that's the name of an actual battle. You could also pick Leipzig or Liegnitz.
