[TECHNICAL THREAD] for rules and settings and blaming the organizers

If I understand Bisons correctly, he has finished this turn (and previous ones) first because this is "peace time" and "turn order doesn't matter", so it would be very unfair to decide war turn order based on that. As someone has pointed out it would end up with timer camping all turns even in peace time...

Of course I may be biased in this conflict smile If plako has made his decision based on random coin flip it's ok with me.

Hey guys, I'm really sorry, but I'm going to need a pause. I can play the turn in about 8-9 hours.

Thanks!

Hey all,

I had a few goals for this game:

(1) Convince Yossarian to create a human-cyborg-Civ4-playing machine - DONE

(2) Sabatoge DMOC's career with the NSA by forcing him to download Civ4 during work hours - DONE

(3) Offend and alienate my peers - DONE(Parkin), DONE(Maga), DONE(neo-Maga), and DONE(KGB)

Also, I had the goal of making sandwiches with Arkipeller, but that's pretty much DONE too.

Soooooooooooooooooo...... after consulting with my better-half, the right-honourable Oxyphenbutazone, I think it might be time to let this zombie-of-a-game gain its sweet release.

Clearly, we haven't "won" the game. It should be noted for the record, however, that we wouldn't be able to win the game unless we were able to convince at least some teams that we hadn't won the game.

That said,

PROPOSAL: End PB14, Walk to Homeplate, Shake Hands, Good Game, Good Game, Good Game, etc. etc.

I wouldn't mind ending the game. TBH, about from Christmast this game has been more of a burden to me, instead of a pleasure.

Eh? You never offended nor alienated me. smile I stepped back from RB a while back to deal with urgent family matters, nothing to do with anyone here. Sorry that I missed all the action.

As I have written before. I don't think this game is decided. I would like to play it through but if other players are so convinced about their loosing positions... It's kind of lame when you just give up the game when you have lost hope for winning. But whatever, I'm the newbie here and I can not force anyone to play.

It sucks if many players aren't having fun, but I don't feel the game is decided either. B4ndit has done an amazing job with the civ he was given, and I really hope you will give him the chance to see if he can catch up or not. As his advisor, I still feel a little involved with the game myself as well. Should we ask for subs or allow some of the weaker players to retire to AI? I'd offer to take over a civ myself, but I have obvious conflicts of interest that I probably wouldn't be able to detach myself from.

When you're talking about subbing or retiring-to-AI more than one civ, you may as well give up, because you're just postponing an inevitable death by a couple weeks at most.
