Turn 86 turn report.
Two things of note. First, spot the good news:
Hint:
On that note, Pegasus has five cities, as does all our opponents save Ruff, who's straggling with four.
Second thing, we're in position to found our fish city next turn:
Our settler is 2W1S of Dead Man's Hand. Next turn, Chris and Johnny can road the plains tile 1N of our city spot, and then the settler can move and found the city.
Rounding off with our demographics after ending turn (they also contain a hint as to the first good news):
I have to run.

Excellent. That will boost our financials even further.
EDIT: OK, so that seems to have replaced five 1 commerce internal trade routes for five 2 commerce external trade routes. That gives an extra 5 gold with no multipliers.
It also explains our exports of 10, with no-one else yet benefiting from trade routes. It doesn't look like it will be long before we get trade routes with Ruff too. It won't be long before we can put on 100% research for Currency as well. Very nice.
[Goes to look up trade routes.]

Right, ok. Pegasus has five cities, hence the five trade routes. RUff has a further four. (Obviously this could change in the near future, and probably will.)
If we connect to Ruff, we will therefore get another four external trade routes, provided we have enough trade route capacity. We will if we found cities 8 and 9, or if we tech Currency.
What's not immediately clear to me is whether the trade routes are recalculated following Currency. So, for example, we have nine cities, each with a +2 trade route to a city of Pegasus or Ruff. When we get currency, our trade route capacity doubles from 9 to 18.
Does that mean that every city gets an internal trade route on top of the existing foreign trade routes? Or is it recalculated and Pocket Bullets (and the other bigger cities) gets two foreign trade routes, with the newer, smaller cities getting internal trade routes only?
The bottom line is that we will profit from Ruff's and Pegasus's expansion! Plus we should connect to ad hoc as soon as possible too. (And TT if he is prepared to open borders.)
In terms of the size of the trade income, the minimum is 1 for an internal route and 2 for a foreign route. If Pocket Bullets gets sufficiently big then the trade route will get above 2.

The latter.
We should also found a city on the northern continent as city #10, that will give us an intercontinental internal trade route worth 2 commerce, which all our mainland cities can use.

Or maybe #11. Thought we were doing the pigs city next.
It would be nice to ferry over a couple of units to explore before we go settling the opposite continent.

Yeah, I meant #11.
Sailboat's next whip (after the lighthouse) could be a forge or a galley. Forge is more efficient of course but we might want to get the galley earlier to start exploring the continent.

I prefer the forge since we also need to build a couple of axes for exploration. If we can get them done in time then we could build a galley, but we currently have other priorities building settlers and workers so it might be worth delaying the galley build.

Ok, new city founded.
And an overview.
I switched Speed Limit to the newly completed cottage, switched Pocket Bullets to the grassland cottage as instructed, and set Dead Man's Hand to build a barracks (it was either that or a spear/axe).
The settler slogged his way to the cows tile. No roads so getting to the wheat/cows site the hard way for now.
Next turn we can switch on full research for Currency, nicely timed to coincide with the monastery being completed.

Silver hooked up so happiness galore.
In foreign news, Pegasus has founded a 6th city, and Ruff a 5th (called Madrid, unsurprisingly).
Any comments?
