I just don't think that finding time in a 24 hour period to make a post in the tech thread requesting a pause is going to be that difficult for anybody. I can't really think of a situation aside from a serious natural disaster that would cause you to literally be unable to touch a computer in any way for even thirty seconds sometime within a 24 hour turn window, and if a disaster happens, missing a turn in Civ is going to be the least of one's problems.

I don't know if this is a lack of imagination or just a presumption that everyone's has the same flexibility as yours, but it is not hard at all for me to imagine a scenario in which it is not possible to post in a the short window available. Admittedly, not often, but if for example the turn rolls right after heading to bed, then the window is already reduced to 16 hours. Then assume the plan is to play upon returning from work, it only takes one thing going wrong with work, family or self to make it unreasonable to assume that a person had a reasonable ability to post. While we are in the digital age, yes, that doesn't mean I can always access the RB forums to let the world now that a staffing crisis came up at work and I'll be working late. I can't very well say to my boss, "Yeah, hold on, I just need a minute to notify my online gaming community that I may miss a turn."
I favor a fairly firm policy on turns rolling and if it is missed due to inattentivity, playing other games, watching movies, etc. etc. that is not a good reason. But there are lots of good reasons a reasonable person may miss a 24 hour window without intending to.
FYI, I am out of town this weekend but have asked Twinkletoes to cover my turns. He's working on getting the mod installed. If it doesn't work for him, I may need a pause until I can find another lurker to cover for me.

Fixed
I have finally decided to put down some cash and register a website. It is www.ruffhi.com. Now I remain free to move the hosting options without having to change the name of the site.

I think the game is broken. I just got stuck at finishing at the pitboss portal isn't providing any updated info.

Nope, sorry! I was waiting for some feedback, but rolled the turn now as everyone else was finished!
