Got 7:07 on my first try. Probably can do a lot better. I'm pretty sure the real trick is finding the optimal farming path to rush one 2nd tier item and to hit level 5-6. IMO builds and the viable champs are pretty straightforward. But I suppose we'll see.

My initial brainstorming was how to go fast if Madred's Razor were allowed. Since that's not allowed, I guess we can talk about it! My guess is that Ezreal with Wriggle's is surprisingly competitive. His Q+passive is so much attack speed and Q procs Wriggle's. His farm is good enough at the beginning to rush Wriggle's too.

Gustaran: Are we only allowed one entry? Or can we keep trying and improving our submissions?

Is wriggle's allowed? That's basically a souped up madreds razor with lifesteal.

You can submit as many entries as you want. So if you got a finishing time just submit it That way everybody can see the time to beat.

I got a time of 5.54 with kind of a silly concept. I think that can be pretty easily beaten though.

There is one champion that seems like it should be the fastest that I need to buy so I can try it out. I hope when the competition ends people write up what they did, because this is quite a fun thought exercise.

Yeah thinking about it there are probably only a few viable champs. On the other hand I feel that at least one of them is quite cheap in terms of IP, so even people that can't spend tons of IP have a fair shot

I know Wriggle's isn't allowed - I was just brainstorming the surprising (to me) idea that Ezreal with Wriggle's would probably be the fastest if Wriggle's were allowed.

I think the IP costs of most viable champs are pretty low - but I'd worry that good rune pages are going to make quite a big difference, and those are pretty expensive.

Rune pages will give an edge but I think the concept, strategy and mechanical skill will be more important. It will probably only be the difference if two people have the exact same approach.

You can easily farm 1050 in under five minutes with Ezreal, so gold isn't an issue.

Runepages make a huge difference, especially with things like attack speed. Having an all attack-speed rune pages means +34% or so attack speed. There is no way to cheaply make this up with mechanics or paths.
