Turn 174:
Sorcery splashscreen on loading the save, plus the Aquae Sucellus mini-movie.
The first thing I checked this turn, before sending out the hawks or anything, is where that damn hunter is.
Not only is it unmoved, but the Goblin from the fort has damaged it too.
One road later, and ‘Goblin’ strikes!
Words cannot describe how satisfying it was to kill that unit, I think the best description would be orgasmic (and yes, I will be keeping the Friday appointment with my shrink).
I was thinking of calling the WE something jokey like “aftereffects of Goblin poison” or “severe wasting malady” but decided to stick with the tried and true.
The instant road was pillaged afterwards and the workers have gone back to “building a fort”.
Meep Meep biatch.
Hawks then flew, nothing interesting sighted, but down at the Urgortheth fort Agrius has lost his Fatigue promotion.
The ruins of Conrond Mor was also sanctified.
Combined with the two OO priests starting their Inquisitions this turn, means that the AC will eventually be hovering at 36, with Blight starting at 41.
Building the AV shrine adds +5 to the AC and will be my way of triggering Blight, so I shouldn’t sanctify any more ruins in the South for the time being.
More combat this turn, involving the Hill Giant at Ukanever.
Priapus had 13/65% odds with a spare promotion in hand, I didn’t like those so I gave him an extra Combat promo.
He withdrew leaving the Giant at 2.2 health for Elatus to clean up.
I’m not sure I handled that very well, only gaining 3 xp in total between both CAs, probably should have cast Sprint on Elatus just to get the -10% strength.
Nevermind, hawk flight straight SE from Ukanever reveals how close on the North-South worldwrap we are from the tundra wastes above Caledor.
Speaking of which, Fuerte was founded this turn, picking up the mana node.
There were two more combats this turn.
Periquos promoted C1 and cleaned up another Goblin (promoting C2 and using Sirona to heal to str 5.1 afterwards).
Also Nessus a C2 Cover CA killed one of the Zaonce fort Goblin Archers at 93%, annoyingly ending up at 16/17 xp.
I looked into Mimas attacking a fort archer, but 80% odds on my C4 CA didn’t appeal in the slightest.
Researching Sorcery also means the Kurios can get their first mage this turn.
I’m probably going to take the Spirit II promotion so he can cast Hope and expand some of the cultureless settlement borders.
Speaking of which, those Hope sparkling globes have been springing up all over the continent, first in the Calabim territory and now the Illians.
Ending turn completed an aqueduct in Kwythellar, a herbalist in Avelorn, and a GPro was born. :hat:
OO also spread to Fuerte, which was a nice touch.
Part of me wishes that the GP born this turn had been a GSci, because then I wouldn’t have the temptation to found the OO shrine in Caledor.
Nevertheless, I need to found the AV shrine for the Entropy mana and unless I can manage to pull a GSci out of my hat very soon (Undercouncil?) that GPro will be used in Avelorn.
For reasons I don’t understand, the FoL missionary was born in Avelorn, which means it will take two turns travelling time to find out if I just wasted 430 beakers.
