Internet at my house is down until Wednesday, so I will probably not be able to get Civ access between now and then. I know, awful timing.

EDIT: Internet is unreliable until the tech shows up on Wed. So I may be unable to play.

Second EDIT: Internet's back and fine; it seems that the problem wasn't just my house, so Comcast was nice and fixed it already.

What I've found to be helpful is to freely use in-game signs, especially the all-important "Whip T103" and the like that I'll put over my cities so that I know NEXT TURN that I'm supposed to be whipping them into submission.
