Also excuse my artistic rendition of blue dot 3 with its lines going through the map and stuff

Well... we don't yet have the ability to build pastures, so having sheep in radius isn't terribly helpful.
I'd say BlueTwo is the best bet, since it will let us get in an extra aristofarm cities in the long term, while being barely weaker in the short term and improving our tactical position. If we had the ability to improve the sheep at the moment BlueOne might be worth more consideration.
You're right, I didn't think about not having animal husbandry
![]() Taking blue2 also frees up a city site two south of the sheep for later on, which is good. It's decided then!
2 turns to construction, and settler will be completed the same turn as well. I'm gonna have to build a few warriors before starting on Barnaxus though, as I need to move some away with my settler.
Also a lizardman has parked himself south of my capital, after taking a very odd route to get there: ![]() He started out at the ruins in the northeast, went south and then east towards Ilios' new city. Then for some reason he moved away, went around the mountains to the south and just walked up to endanger my farms and cotton plantation. I hope he doesn't pillage. Maybe I should move Michelangelo from Cotton Valley to try to kill the lizardman, since he's my promoted warrior and should be able to take care of him.
Sweet! I knew recon civs couldn't pillage but didn't realize the lizardman was one. This is great then. In other news, i've been chatting with Ilios and he is damage controlling his city placement by saying we are all so close to each other.
That is not good enough! Doesn't mean i'll attack him of course, but if he also takes the ruins site from under my nose I will be an angry man. ![]() Sciz Wrote:That is not good enough! Why of course! I was under the influence of just a bit too much mead when I made the above post. An angry dwarf, indeed!
Also while chatting with Ilios I learned that the Lanun are some ways south of him, which I suspected. So I believe the map looks something like this: -----Doviello------Sciz-----Malakim----Balseraph ---------------------------------------------- Calabim-----Ljosalfar-----------Lanun--------- I think, anyways.
With turn 50 approaching, it'd be interesting for the lurkers to compare the positions the players find themselves in. With that in mind, could you please give us an update for turn 50, with some screenshots?
1) The overall empire - what cities you have (F1 city list, perhaps, to see the food\production\research per city in a single screen) 2) What technologies have you got? 3) What luck you had with goodie huts this game? And anything else you'd care to add, such as diplomatic situation from your point of view, expansion plans, any other random thoughts et al. Thanks! P.S. This is cross-posted in every player's thread. |
