[Spoilers] The Golem Factory: Beeri Bawl of the Luchuirp

Yeah. Any of the golems can use them. The few times I've taken Luchuirp all the way up to Omniscience and ended up rolling in Golden Hammers then I'd consider passing them around.

At this stage... ehh. Even just for the short term it's both a huge risk of losing them, and would lose us some valuable production.

Yeah imo it's more worth it to settle them at this point. Gives us faster production on wood golems, and also faster great engineer production.

Actually can someone help me with actually using worldbuilder? I hardly ever use it, and if I do only for small stuff, so it's extremely frustrating trying to set this up to make it like exactly the position i'm in now. Same map layout, same terrain same turn, same buildings and units and improvements and stuff

is there some easier way to do it than by hand? I tried opening the save and doing something that way but that doesn't work.

Trying to create rivers in WB is incredibly frustrating, I want to kill myself. And for some reason Cotton Valley only has 3 max healthiness in WB...

Judging from your most recent screenshot that is the case in game as well.

I don't think so. The only time saving tool I've really seen is the ability to change the brush size, but that won't really help here.

Yeah. It's probably easier to generate a random map, find the right river configuration, and edit in the rest of the terrain around it.

Yeah I mistyped, it's 3 in the WB for some reason, not 6. Anyways I gave up for now. Maybe i will try again later.

Very quick WB river tutorial:

Rivers are always created two or more squares at a time. If you want only one river tile, you must create two river edges and delete one by right-clicking. It's completely normal to get a bunch of extra river edges and then delete them one by one.

Rivers always have a directional flow (there's no game effect, but the game needs to know to show the flowing water graphics.) Always click the "upstream" tile first and then downstream towards the ocean.

Rivers always exist on the south and east sides of a tile. If you want a horizontally flowing river, click on the squares above it. If you want a vertical river, click on the square to the left of it.

Thanks, that's really helpful smile

Started a map from scratch now, with just a big chunk of plains surrounded by ocean

Argh! I'm so close! I edited the entire area that i've scouted so that it looks exactly like the game, but i have no idea how to change the starting turn. I can right click in WB, and i get an option that says "change start year", but when I click that nothing happens. So for some reason I keep starting the game on turn 13 with agriculture researched.

Okay so I finally kinda managed to get it to work. Techwise i'm one turn behind the real game, but it's close enough so it will have to do. Turn 50 now and playing onwards
