Here was my response to Pegasus:

Nothing further from Ruff (in response to our meeting Pegasus comment). I mentioned to Ruff that Pegasus' warrior is on the forested hill 2SW of the cows, plus that we have proposed an NAP to turn 50.

Told Pegasus as an afterthought that our wheat is SW not SE of our capital.

Turn ended and save sent.

The only score increase was for us, for our population growth. In fact, not much happening in the demographics at all this turn. Very much as you were.

Catching up on the C&D, our opponents tech paths, finish turns listed in parenthesis:

TT: Hunting(0)->Agriculture(0)->Mining(6)->Bronze Working(19)->Mysticism/Fishing(24)->The Wheel

Pegasus: The Wheel(0)->Agriculture(0)->Mining(6)->Bronze Working(19)->Hunting(23)->Animal Husbandry

Ad Hoc: The Wheel(0)->Mysticism(0)->Polytheism(8 )->Masonry(14)->Monotheism(22)->Agriculture(26)->Mining

Ruff: Fishing(0)->Mysticism (0)->Meditation(6)->Mining(15)->Agriculture(19)->Bronze Working(25)->Masonry

I've pretty much lost track of builds. Pegasus is size 4 and the others are size 2. I think Pegasus has built warriors while growing and has just one worker. TT should have two by now since he hasn't grown. Stragglers Ad Hoc and Ruff probably have one and might be working on a second.

If we're lucky Ad Hoc is roading and quarrying his stone right now, which will be a waste of time if we beat him to stonehenge. It will leave him with no chance to compete with our oracle build (Although it could spell trouble for Ruff if Ad Hoc for some reason decides to build a cheap great wall.) He could be roading and quarrying the marble but if he's planning to research mining and bronze working before priesthood we should beat him, especially if he wants to squeeze in pottery as well.

Ruff is sensibly on Masonry, he can't delay the Great Wall too long. Pegasus seems to be focusing solely on expansion and ignoring the religious branch. TT did research Mysticism (unless it was Fishing), I would think Mysticism (and Fishing) could have waited a bit, so not sure what his plan is. Maybe he'll compete half-heartedly for Stonehenge and be happy with some refund money.

And just to complete the set:

Us: Agriculture(0)->Mining(0)->Bronze Working(14)->Mysticism(18 )->The Wheel(25)->Pottery

I think you might have Mining, Agriculture and Bronze Working a turn early for Ruff?

Ok, so we have Stonehenge finishing EOT34. That's not far off. Hopefully ad hoc hasn't started Stonehenge yet but you never know. Probably can't have farmed the wheat and rice AND quarried the stone with just one worker yet.

I like it that Stonehenge would speed up connection of the marble by the way. Very nice.

Tsk, where is that save?

Possibly. When I say Bronze Working (25) it means that he completed Bronze Working at the end of that turn, which means we see the power and score increase on T26, and he selects a new tech on T26.

Well we know it's with Pegasus, we just don't know when he'll play. frown

Yeah, I was just comparing it to the score tracker worksheet. I figured you had it as EOT but, for example, Ruff got Bronze Working at the same time as ad hoc got Agriculture according to the score increases. Of course, I could have got the scores all messed up...

I'm not sure which is more deflating: that Pegasus is busy on a Saturday and so can't play the save, or that Pegasus clearly has more things to do than us on a Saturday... lol

Got it.

Noted. Trust it to come in when I'd given up checking...

Pegasus "thinks he's okay with" a NAP. He mentioned settling agreements which I decided to ignore for now, but it seems he might be mistaken about where the halfway point is.

I told him we'd be heading further west with Seven.

Back home two chops completed Chris, our third worker. Four is back in our borders, and should probably heal and stay ready to go guard the Big Slick location. We don't need him for happiness purposes in Pocket Bullets.

C&D: Ad Hoc completed Mining, TT completed The Wheel, and Ruff grew to size three. One warrior was constructed.

The screenshots in my last post might not be visible, dropbox seems to be having some problems right now. Btw Pegasus hasn't assigned any EPs to us yet.

While we were waiting for the turn I relapsed to Planning Ridiculously Long Ahead ™, and did some thinking on city specialization / national wonders.

[Image: dotmap.png]

Here are the national wonders I think we'll want, and my suggested locations:

Moai Statues - Black dot
Heroic Epic - Black dot
National Epic - Pocket Bullets (and Great Library?)
Oxford University - Pocket Bullets
Globe Theatre - Purple dot
Ironworks - Red dot
National Park - Offshore
Wall Street - White dot / Red dot
Mount Rushmore - Random filler city
Forbidden Palace - Offshore
Hermitage - Border city
