![lol lol](https://www.realmsbeyond.net/forums/images/smilies/lol.gif) That does sound familiar.

We should (just?) be able to get Priesthood, AH and Monotheism done in 24 turns (from the completion of Meditation), at which point we can move on to Writing. In the meantime, we can concentrate on workers, settlers, axemen and granaries.
And forges. *fingers crossed*
So yeah, I think we may (have to) delay writing a bit, crazy as it may sound.
Why do you want Iron Working?
I have to run.

To see where iron is!
I know we have copper, but our UU relies on iron so I would like to know where it is within a reasonable timeframe. It may not even be on the mainland. It would also potentially help with dotmapping (imagine if it's on the borders!).
We will also need to pick up Hunting at some point (for ivory happiness), and before Monarchy by the sounds of things (had forgotten about the bulb CS plan).
So maybe Meditation->Priesthood->AH->Monotheism->Writing->Maths->Hunting->Calendar/Code Of Laws/Iron Working/Currency
Then at some point Archery + Machinery to get our Cho-Ko-Nus up and running.

That sounds reasonable. I think our tech path up until Maths is pretty set, after that we can reevaluate. We're going to grab more than our fair share of land, so I would be surprised if we don't unwittingly grab iron.
We need to respond to Pegasus's proddings soon and come up with a border agreement and a NAP extension.
I have to run.

No, white dot and then red dot to get the precious metals. Then green dot.

Ah ok, did you mean settle Pegasus' border before Ruff's border rather than just before other cites are settled?
So you're still not keen on splitting red dot, huh?

Actually, theo requires writing, so we might as well research writing after AH. I don't think we'll build any libraries soon, though.
Quick sim gave us fourth city T65, fifth T68, Theo T69.
I have to run.

No I'm open to splitting red dot, as long as we settle whichever red dot grabs the gems first.

Definitely agree re gems. The coastal red dot (split version) is the better city and grabs the gems. The other red dot is intended as a low priority backfill city. Hopefully Seven's exploration will show whether there is any need to change the dotmap in that area.

Seven continues his coastal trek, this must be the indian ocean though, because there's no seafood in sight.
Nothing special on the diplo front. Pegasus tells us no worries wrt scouting for a border agreement, and lets us know there are crabs northwest of the cows in borderland. He also reminds us that he's building Vultures, not Axemen. Ruff confirms he's researched The Wheel and then Hunting.
All is quiet on the home front:
Foreign news:
Ruff revolted to Slavery. No techs were discovered. Pegasus got a 3k score and 1k power increase from having cities sized 4 and 2 now. TT got 3k score from population, in his case his capital grew to size 4.
Our demographics don't look too good:
However, after ending turn both our cities grew, so things are looking a little better:
I set our slider to 0% this turn, next turn set it to 100% and let's power through Meditation and Priesthood. We're currently 1 beaker short of Meditation - if anybody's doing C&D they will have little warning that we're going for Priesthood.
In 3 turns we'll have research visibility on Pegasus.
I have to run.
