Exactly. He can have the southern land quite far over. We are only settling where he has on TT's borders, so it's not like it's out there. The fact that Ruff seems to have generously conceded the middle ground to us is neither here nor there. We are just saying that we don't mind him competing for the cows, even if it is the unattainable cherry on top.

Question is, do we want another city west of Big Slick, even if it doesn't get the sheep? I think we do if Peg is OK with it.

EDIT: Hmm, it would have to go 2E of the sheep so I wouldn't be too happy with that if I were Pegasus. But we can float the idea.

I don't think we do really. We've got plenty of sites to settle and it would leave us with two fronts to defend.

Actually that's a negative point about letting him steal the cow tile (not that we would let that happen) - we would be susceptible to an immediate mounted stack attack.

Hmm, you're right that Big Slick is pretty unassailable. Green dot will be susceptible to mounted attacks anyway along the diagonals, though.

If we only claim green dot, I don't think we should offer to share the cow. Pegasus will get more land than us. He could settle 1SE of the Sheep, for example.

Fine, let's just say we plan to settle his Old Trafford equivalent on his border and he can have his pick for settling in the south (but no further east than the wheat column and no further north than the corn row). We get the better resources but he gets more land. That's fair I think.

If he asks about any agreements over our border with Ruff, we haven't come to an agreement yet. Which is sort of true.

Got it.

Ok, we've met ad hoc! Since Pegasus has switched EPs to us, and therefore the research visibility target has moved on, I put full EPs on ad hoc.

Ok, where are we. So I said hello to ad hoc, and let both Pegasus and Ruff know we had met ad hoc. I suggested our border settling strategy with Pegasus. Look here see:

You can see from the picture above that there is a clam 2S of the forested hill, which makes a city there sort of viable.

I renamed the axeman Jack of Clubs, did all the microplan stuff (just caught the forested hill working).

Nice, just TT left to meet, and we're close to his borders.

Looks like Ruff two-pop whipped his settler this turn. That constitutes -1k in power, but rival power increased by 3k so there was a 4k increase somewhere. So that's two warriors or an Impi, and rival worst and best did not change. So my bet is another Impi. That means TT has two Impis, Peg has a vulture, and Ad Hoc has an Axeman (as do we). Ruff has two warriors. rolleye

Ok, analysis time. Ruff clearly whipped from size 4 to size 2, inevitably producing a settler.

Total rival power went up 3k. With the top and bottom power staying still, Ruff's power going down 1k, that means TT's power went up 4k. That means another Impi...

Hammers in Stamford bridge are, I think, 7. I've lost track if that even makes sense.

Damn, you won by milliseconds. Good that we came to the same conclusion. lol

OK, I see your speedy analysis skills and I raise you a revised dotmap:

So that's 13 cities, albeit with quite a lot of overlap.
