White peace afterwards or are you hoping for concessions?

I don't know. Depends how many soldiers I lose taking CV. If I even take it. And then also depends if Mist comes with any stack from the north.

Have I shared this idea already? If we find someone who we can be really friendly with, or who owes us, then we can ask for a loan of their cities for a turn and trigger the hammers, for probably double the gain. It won't cost them a thing, but it could really benefit us.

Here is how I'm imagining it would work. On their turn they offer us the cities. On our turn we accept the cities, use the worldspell, then offer the cities back. On their turn they accept the cities, not even losing out on a single turn of production. Is that how it actually works? Maybe not. Someone would have to check.

If we're in a position to demand something from Mist, that could be the thing to demand. If we're currently friendly with Ilios or Uberfish then maybe we could make a deal to add their cities as well. Imagine how crazy it would be if we could get 16 or so golden hammers! Probably we would have to give some of those hammers or some money away to others to facilitate a deal... but it could definitely end up pretty good if we could organize something.

Yeah you mentioned that once, and it's a pretty good idea. Probably with Ilios then, he's the one i've had most talks with and we've been really friendly since Mist attacked, he's helped me several times with nothing in return (except he's getting a 10 turn palace mana loan for the copper)

I'll take it up with him at some point soon I guess.

River of Blood cast

And ilios founded a city in my NE which really pissed me off since once again he didnt even say a word about it

i thought we were friends in this game but i guess not

I mean Mist is at least an outspoken enemy to me. Ilios says he's a friend and then aggressively settles near me twice without talking to me about it

Honestly, I think we've got to lump it. He did just save our bacon with the bronze trade. If he is going to take advantage of our war with Mist to settle at us it's disappointing but understandable.

Got a nice mail from Serdoa:

Serdoa Wrote:Hi Sciz,

I realised I didn't say "Hello" when Loki came up your doorstep. So: Hello! :D

Your position seems to be quite ... messy. Mahala from one side and Ilios on the other. I mean, I was told by him he would fight with Mahala but I don't see anything going in this direction so I am not sure what to think about. Care to share your version of the story?

As for your information: I am neither allied with Mahala nor with Ilios. In fact, I burned a newly founded city by Ilios with Loki last turn. It was right at your doorstep as well, taking Yggdrasil. But I guess you know that?

Kind regards,
Serdoa

yikes There was Yggdrasil at that spot! Loki razed it, and now I really want that spot. I mean I wanted it before too, but I want it even more now. I have a settler in Mutanbo which has been there for a long time now, but I don't have a good enough escort for it. Maybe I should risk it? I can produce military fairly quickly in Mutanbo to defend it after all.

Also Cotton Valley is Size 1 and has no culture. Will it be razed when I take it?

Damn Mist for starving it down

Looks like a pretty positive message from Serdoa.

Cotton Valley will be fine. If the city has ever had more than 1 population it will no longer be auto-razed.

Watch the hell out for Loki. If he comes into your borders, be ready to declare war. We do not want that grinning clown pulling anything on us. Try and get an agreement from Serdoa about Loki before agreeing to let him enter your lands. If he agrees not to demoralize then there isn't really any harm in letting him through.

And yeah, settle the Yggdrassil spot. We need some good cities.

Was annoying when I attacked Mist's troops. He had put them in a place so that I had to keep some warriors back or he'd be able to flee with Barnaxus. I got 2 sons killed, and the other one at 0.0 health, but then I had no warriors with enough moves. He may be able to promote now but that shouldn't be enough to save him against my warriors. Have 4 warriors north of the sons of asena, and 4 (or 3, i forget) to the east of it. So he has nowhere to go anyways.

Didn't take a pic though. Should be able to get CV next turn.
