OK, turn played, I haven't sent it on yet though. I figured I'd give you the option of vetoing this diplo first, since there's no rush in sending the save on to Ruff.
First, Pegasus proposed open borders, which I accepted after some hesitation. He has a warrior approaching from the east which can now pass through our territory. After accepting I could read this in the chat log, nothing illuminating there.
Second, see chat with Ruff.
Empire after ending turn:
You might wonder why I haven't killed that barb warrior in the east, that's because we would only get 1XP anyway so I might as well let it move onto flatland for better odds. (Current odds are 99.3%)
I have to run.

Not sure about saying "couldn't see why you bothered" comment (or the one after). Seems a bit ungrateful.
I might have said something like "Tsk, we said Pocket Bullets in our request, but then you put it in NFD." Maybe it's a turn late to say that anyway.
I'm fine with the Pegasus comment.
Interesting re TT. He's the one who's attacked someone already. I can't see ad hoc being willing to join forces with him.
I did wonder if TT might try to team up with Pegasus to go against us in the medium to long term. If ad hoc ever did join in then Ruff might find it in his favour to go after ad hoc (or maybe just stay right out of it).

Man, Pocket Bullets is a settler-making machine. Feels like we're Imperialistic too!
I seem to have scared the lurkers off again. Oh well.

It's amazing what early forges can do for you. It's like being expansive and half-imperialistic.

Ok, quick analysis of the past few turns, based on scores and demographics.
Ruff
Some growth, plenty of whipping. Still on two cities, of size 3 and 1.
ad hoc
Not much happened on turns 67 or 68, but got score increases of 12 points and 28 points on turns 69 and 70 respectively. The former was two city growths plus a tech (which might have been a 2k tech, or he built a warrior). The latter was probably mostly land points, with 3 points from growth.
He now has cities of size 4,2 1.
TT
Not much to report. Now has cities of size 4,2,2. Got a 20-point score boost T70, 3 of which were for growth. Again, probably some land points in there.
Pegasus
Now has four cities, of size 4,4,2,1. Got a 14 point score boost for T70, despite applying a double whip of his capital. More land points.
Maybe some more techs in there too - who knows. No sign of Maths being researched though (based on the power graphs). Looks like we're pretty safe to land Les Gardens.
Everyone seems to be in builder mode. No big power shifts. Ad hoc still top power, with us now just right behind and Pegasus not far back. Ruff and TT are both a reasonable amount lower.

I think T70 is a nice round number to lay the C&D department officially to rest. We're not really learning all that much from it. It's worth checking the graphs now and again, though, obviously.

Agreed. We're reaching the stage anyway where the turnplayer has to think on his feet and doesn't need C&D to keep himself entertained.
