OK, I take back my earlier comments. That blob of red is as bad as anything I've ever seen in Civ5. lol

Why is it again that so many people value one unit per tile gameplay as the pinnacle of strategic gaming? huh

I thinks its worse because we can keep recruiting with that blob as well our income is equal to 3-4 units per turn

Well you've won the level and control all the villages on the map and started with probably the most obscene treasury I've seen in any level. smile

There is a subtle but important difference between a tactical level wargame and an empire level strategy game.

A difference that the folks in charge of Civ 6 would do well to remember. wink

It's just a poorly designed scenario.

Its not so badly designed it was made with the intention in mind that you wouldn't be pushing to kill all the leaders we just felt like it. After meeting the dwarfs down the easy pushing path you were suposed to run the leader over there for a win.
So it is only poorly designed because we aren't playing this senerio the expected way.

Here's how its meant to be beaten on higher difficulties, it is quite a challenging mission because you have to...
Juggle the opponents so they stalemate long enough so you can fight your way to the dwarves, and then mop-up the rest of the weakened players.

Uh, simplest turns I've done so far. We got a thug to lvl up to bandit(Killed the SW king). And we got another footpad to lvl in the orange slog mess.

Other than that, killed units, cycled them and made little progress on the orange skellies. I totally thought I was going to break out but ZOC didn't allow me to move a unit into the empty space. twice. So I just keep killing and lvling units. Oh and the orange king recruited 2 more skeletons this last turn :/

So yeah just keep cycling guys. SW should fall quick (There's another footpad ready to lvl so try and get him a kill.) Orange guys will keep giving us XP. We should be able to break through soon enough. Maybe if we just injured the those front skellies and then were able to kill 2 or 3 in one turn we could move forward. So maybe try not to kill one. Aim to kill two a turn in order to gain ZOC.

Hi guys,

Just wanted to say thanks for a fun and most entertaining read.

And also an introduction to a great little game. It's hit a niche of being just what I was looking for... getting my teeth into it and it's remarkably fun. smile

Be keen to see how you get on with this!
