wesnoth successive game

I played, Basically moved units around. I haven't had any of the healers head to the naval side yet though I wanted to heal up the hurt one.

Attacked the lone king. Killed a skelly, gave a couple units holy water.

I have been lurking this thread, and wanted to thank the players for getting me hooked on yet another time-consuming game when I should be finishing my taxes. lol

I am still learning the game (about half a dozen scenarios into the Heir to the Throne campaign), but it makes everything you have been discussing in the thread much clearer. I will have to reread and see how much more I get out of the turn reports now.

I hope you manage to continue, despite the lack of active players at the moment.

To all the lurkers out there a request for another player to join our ranks has been sent out. I would like to keep a mininum of 3 people rotating through and bruindane seems to be out for RL Issues.

I would be interested in joining up, although as I posted earlier I am quite new to the game. You might want a more experienced player.

We got another player this calls for a party. :2dance: band

So I guess the new order is:

1) Fire&Ice
3) Lewwyn
4) Haphazard

2) Bruindane (gone till further notice.)

Edit: New player or expirence doesn't matter

Woohoo, a party! Always glad to be the cause of something fun. jive

I guess you people really are desperate. lol But I certainly agree that an SG just does not feel the same with only two people. Hopefully Bruindane will also be able to rejoin the fun.

I have played similar kinds of games quite a bit, and have not had much trouble handling the Wesnoth scenarios I have played so far. I am still trying to figure out the best ways to deal with the day/night cycle, and also how to set up kills for specific units for XP/leveling purposes. With ZOC I always seem to end up giving the kill to a random unit, and only rarely manage to bring in a specific unit at the final moment. Makes getting XP for healers a real problem. frown

Any hints or tips in these areas would be much appreciated. bow

1) I find myself attacking just before the cycle favors us. So loyal at dawn chaos at dusk.
2) keep the units you trying to give xp to 1 or 2 hexes back from the fight so they can dodge around the ZoC the enemies give off.
3) better a random unit then a dead unit

Honestly with the amount of gold we are getting here this realy doesn't matter so we can just swarm and destroy the AI at any time of the day. lol

I think we can skip lewwyn so haphazard or lewwyn either one of you are up.

I stated I wanted a
24 hour to post got it
48 hours after that to play

So If I don't call people out on being late feal free to skip them and start the turn along again.

OK, I can probably get to the save later this evening (maybe 6 hours from now). If Lewwyn does not claim it first, I will play 3 turns (this is the usual turnset size, correct?).

A question: how do you take screenshots for Wesnoth? Are you using some tool/app, or is there a way to do so from within the game itself?

3 turns is correct

I don't know about those mac people but I am taking screenshots from within the game. You do however need to set up a hot-key to do so just chose prefrences and and then the hotkey select button and scroll down to screenshot. Lastly select you hotkey combo.
