Next turn we get 2 growths (and swaps to W/S) and 2 more the turn after that. Turn should probably flip within a few hours

novice Wrote:1. 37 hammers per pop.

37.5 actually. Makes no difference for a 1-pop whip, but you get 75 not 74 hammers for a 2-pop expansive worker whip.

So catching up on diplomacy, here's an email from Moogle

Quote:I attached a screenshot with the sites that I marked about the time I conceded the clam/gems site to you, on the same tiles that I mentioned in our exchanges. They haven't changed since, and I'm hopeful that since you just netted the crabs that I had also pegged for a city site without asking, these won't be further disputed.

Quote:Hey again,

A quick note on a different matter. Luddite just contacted me floating the idea of a NAP between us (possibly.. the wording was rather awkward so I had to ask if that was what he actually meant). Do you have any deals running with him at the moment? I figured we should avoid making deals with other Civs that may end up conflicting with each other.

And amusingly, Adlain just told me that he just placed a city on the hill tile 1E of the sugar, invalidating both of those Moogle city markers, so I guess there's no harm in agreeing to him placing cities there lol

2 settlers and a worker whipped this turn - another worker and settler to be whipped next turn.

Our merchant arrives in Parkinstan (though w/o movement points remaining)

Apparently I don't have a great grasp of the mechanics, as I thought it would only net us 900 gold. Plus his capital is supposedly growing to size 14 soon, so we may even get a bit more. We did agree to 100g as a fee but hey this will fuel many turns of 100% research.

Comparing our current breakeven rate (40%, 62bpt, +2gpt) and the max rate (100% 157bpt, -87gpt), 1000 gold will translate into ~12 turns of max research.

So the difference between 40% and 100% for those 12 turns is 1140 beakers.

PLUS, those 1140 beakers are raw beakers, which get multiplied by the 1.2 pre-req bonus (which will actually be somewhat higher as we'll be teching Monarchy and likely Code of Laws with double pre-reqs). So it's really more like 1368 beakers.

Sounds better than a 775 beaker tech (Metal Casting) thumbsup

Well Locke got Alphabet, so it's our first chance to see where we're at as far as tech pace goes.

[Image: locketechs.jpg]

So he is up on us:
* Meditation (138)
* Monotheism (207)
* Monarchy (517)
* Code of Laws (603)
* Alphabet (517)

We are up on him:
* Iron Working (345)
* Calendar (603)

So he's up 1034 beakers on us. Not great, though hopefully we're going to pick that up over the next few turns that we're able to run at 100% science
