XCOM - Terror From the Deep SG

It loads properly now, I assume it works fine. Do I need the 2.0 version when playing with the version downloaded from GamersGate? I think it's the CE version, with animated intro and neater font.

GIT: Ah, but you were shot down at the last by friendly fire.

Ref: On purpose. To keep me from blowing the others to ... uh ... here.

GIT: Regardless. People who get killed by X-Com always wind up here. It's sort of compensation for what they have to go through before they die.

Ref: Ah. So I got in on a technicality. Well, this should be fun for about two minutes.

GIT: Not so clear on the concept of "eternal happiness" are we? This peace will last forever, my child.

Ref: Shows what you know.
(reaches for angel wings and harp)

TFTD v2.0 (or above) with XCOMUTIL v9.7 if possible. Settings on the latter as agreed in first 2-3 pages of the thread

I'm pretty sure all the Windows versions start at v2 or above. Not sure about the CE version but its often described as Windows version (search for DirectDraw disable fixes for it).

I found this comment with the v2.1 patch

"Not a widely found patch. This one includes all of 2.0’s fixes plus a fix for the M.C. Reader bug. You no longer have to have one in stock at the time M.C. Lab is finished. It will be available after M.C. Lab as soon as a M.C. Reader is in your stores. Strangely this fix is NOT included with the Windows versions of TFTD."

Unless anyone can suggest a way of recognising an installed version (readme and file dates are out), I suggest try applying v2 patch then XCOMUtil and see if it works ok.

What concerns me is that XcomUtil tells me it's found version 1.0 when installing it.

Sandover and Ichabod both have active clones? They appear twice on the active register, anyway wink.

And Catwalk, hurry up and kill off a bunch of the recruits so I can have a v2! lol It looks like you only need 21-26 more casualties before I can rejoin the team.
