The other thing happening on T102 is of course related to the Great Prophet that was born this turn. Our calculations were correct, we had put enough beakers into Civil Service:
That led to this event log:
And finally, some diplo with Ruff:
I have to run.

Funny re TT. He doesn't want us scouting his lands clearly, but only once he has had a good look at ours.
As you alluded to, we should have enough trade routes from three civs, provided they keep founding cities...

We've got a decent lead in power so there's no threat right now. In fact, TT took a bit of a power drop a few turns ago. Maybe he was recalling that chariot to deal with barbs and he doesn't want us to see he has no army left. We could effectively be scouting for Pegasus, I suppose. Power is probably something like 133k vs 96k, before the axe loss presumably.
EDIT: Hmm, where did his scouting warrior go?

I notice you did some worker shuffling near Kojak. You love that stuff!
It will be good to see our demographics before and after the Bureau switch. Here they are before (but after the settler whip):

I've been wondering too. I think it's been gone for some time. Maybe he disbanded it.

BTW you can't ferry ruff's chariot on your galley - you'd have to gift him the galley, have him ferry the chariot over, then gift you back the galley.
it's annoying but kinda makes sense

I know, I'm playing dumb, hoping he'll suggest the other option, which is gifting us the chariot.

Ok, it's no good just saying "got it". You gotta play the turn too... :-)
I did see it more or less when it came in but it wasn't a great time plus we've been kept waiting for the turn for so long so many times that I no longer feel any compunction to play the turn quickly to keep it moving (ditto PBEM17).
Besides, you've not played many turns recently.
Guess I'll have to open it up myself to find out what's going on then.
