Pling's Epic 4 Report

Super short version is that I managed to stay alive until the end of the game - Qin won in 1985AD.

That was a fun game and I'm dead chuffed that I was still alive when the AI won

Victory: All victory options except for Domination are disabled.

Haven't read the report yet, but an AI won? I didn't think an AI could ever achive domination.

They can, with enough factors lining up to help enable them.

They can also win by diplomacy on occasion. I even know of one result where Toku got elected.

They could win by culture, too, if Space and Time are disabled.

He kinda did it by accident, I think

I'd assumed that too - I was figuring that if I could just stay alive till I could get tech parity, then I might stand a chance of (slowly) winning. But I was assuming that the available land would be split up between more than 2 AIs ...

Heh. My only win in an RB event so far I nearly lost by diplomacy ... I seem to be specialising in this

If culture had been on in this game Izzy would've won before Qin had taken out Ghandi - she & Louis were on such peaceful terms that her (only) three cities didn't suffer any set-backs & she had all but one religion anyway ... it was amusing, in its own way, to see the Legendary culture messages scroll past while I knew no-one could win that way
