Right, I was still thinking of Stygian Guards. Death strength does no damage at all to undead, demons, elementals, golems, and illusions; half damage to angels.

Exactly! All I wanted to do in this game is have chance at building Sylvan's Perfect Lyre...

Alright, thanks for the confirmation DaveV.
What's next? Right, diplo! (for a change)
From Darrell:
Quote:Okay, so I took another look at it. Basically there is a) on the Incense to grab the food, or b) on the desert which relies on grassland farms for food. Or, there is the site you are suggesting. I have several problems with that site, namely:
1. It surrounds me, making defense a nightmare.
2. Its another sick site for someone who already has four sick sites (plus another at the Dragon Bones, so this would give you six).
I'm reluctantly willing to concede that location to you, but with the following in return:
1. You gift me Sun mana for 10 turns. I want to get an Adept with scorch to start burning some snow tiles. My land was pretty weak. Serdoa's land was crap, especially with what you are carving out. My starting land was also very weak. I have basically one site I rate "sick" and the rest are very marginal. This will let me get a few junk cities up to balance things out.
2. I want 100g, which should be about what you get from razing Coombe View, and I also want to be the one to raze Gaudium.
3. After you found these two cities and I found one city to pick up the Banana/Rice, we agree to discuss new city settlements going forward.
Darrell
I think I can agree to most things, but I want to think this through before I answer.

T125:
Not much happening. I think Mist took a Balseraph border city. Darrell hasn't taken any new cities.
After much agonising, I decide to found Sol Invictus on the spot:
One east would have been a better site, but it will be the gateway to the Core Empire for the foreseeable future, so I wanted a a good defensive position.
I'm still thinking about Darrell's proposal, and thinking he's asking too much...
Oh, and I should be getting Sciz' Enchantment Mana next turn for an extra happy. Enchanted Blades on those Corpses will be nice too...

You know, it's a pity that Hyborem will be played by an AI. A good player would be able to wreak havoc for an opponent. Now he'll just be an annoyance, and a free city for someone to boot...

Yup, I'm going to guess you ask because Sol Invictus won't grab the Silks where Coombe View used to be...

There's like silk 22 of the city of Horus. That's okay, FFH's graphics are a bit more cluttered than base Civ4 (in my opinion of course).

Yes, I've had that Silk for a while.
And yes, the FFH graphics are a bit darker than BtS.
In other news, I have finally concluded a deal with Darrell.
I get the southern site (Sol Invictus), and the northen site as well (Corn, Crabs, Incense).
In return, I'll gift him 100 gold (I got more than 200 pillage gold from Coombe View, so that's ok)
I gift him Sun Mana. In return I'll get one of his Palace Mana.
All in all a very good deal, considering I could have ended up with absolutely nothing if I had let the Calabim just take over the Balseraphs.
Bold Move, Great Profit!

Just because darrell's too nice. You'd be drinking blood now if I was playing Calabim.
I've got some dirt on my shoulder, can you brush it off for me?
