And with a whimper we call it a game, it seems.
Congratulations, Mackoti, champion of PBEM10.

So its official over i can read other spoilers?
Well it was a fun game and i realy enjoyed to bad that my plan to take out Serdoa will never see aplication.
What can i say about my game: When i took over i had 14 cities and 7 workers(yes very very bad) it was turn 98 or something like that i believe and Meatbalz didn't had Civil service for irigation.Well i had a huge army but icouldnt atck TT because the apostolic peace and i didn't wanted that because that could prove very wrong and i have no economy to sustain that because infratructure was missing badly so having naps with all my neighbours(well Cyneheard set me back with his embargo).
I am sure i was first who builded oxford university, second to build heroic epic, second for national epic(widh should alredy be build at that tine), Globe teatre, Iron working and i was finishing west point so i was preparing some comando infantry for Serdoa.
But not that saved me , it was the great merchant factory, i think i had 5 of that plus 1 from economic this made me 6600 gold so i could reserch at 100% , plus i could upgrade some units so i keep a very strong army.
And in the end about the GLH ,i checked the income from trade routes turn by turn and i belive that just 15 turns i was first at income from that ones so i strongly believe that with the amount of happines and food on this map Pyramids was a far stronger wonder than GLh not counting all kind of plots agains me because of that.

It's officially over.
14 cities and 7 workers wasn't as awful as it usually is given the lack of land (but I still think that about 12 workers or so would have been more appropriate; I had about that many, and had basically finished my improvements around T100/110, but I didn't make a Great Person farm at all).

Very smart. How many merchants were you running? 5?

Well 7 workers doesnt souds so bad but using them to build plains cotages, and working those and this way cutting you the chanse to irigate some resource realy its like smoking pot.Well irealy dont belive in cottage to much only if are riverside so for me was definitly a huge waste.
About merchants in the beginig when i was using slavery just 4 , from grocer and market. But after i finished oxford i switched to caste sistem so more like 6 -8 sometimes even starving the city when i was in golden age.And of course that was the city with National epic.Mid game great merchants>>>>>>beterethan any other great person, and if its quick they 10 times beter(of course this not aply if its always war..).Btw my great persons count is 670 i am courios if Serdoa has more than that and i can asure if i was plying this from beginig was near 1000 because i realy like great persond and i believe can change a game.
And yes building MOM was another big thing for me because i runed 4 golden ages :1 from Taj mahal and 3 other using great persons.
And i lost liberalism race by 1 turn to serdoa . I wanted to much from it.Greedy its not good.
And if guys didn't helpet TT then well was game over then .
What i like about national wonders is that transform a city in 2 cities so in this game where the space was limited and not so many option having those very fast its a big +.

Well, I was in no state to do any more interventions. Everyone else, hm. Hard to say; diplomacy was a mess because the game's pace was too slow to organize any: it would take 2 weeks to get the save around twice, and by then we'd have forgotten what the plans were.
The blockading hurt like hell, as it was meant to. Destroyers with tech superiority blocking works about how it should be, but it's absurd that galleys blockade just as well.

I realy expecting a dogpile like evryone declare war on me an move unist into my teritory so was a surprize to see that you are coming by yor self. I realy enjoyed when you landed units on central island and from graph power i knwed that ther were units from Serdoa so i had a big satisfaction kiling that.
Well now tha the game is over i think serdoa didn't stand more then 10 turns against me.
He's power is low and i just got infantries with comando so well for my fun you could play more 10 turns
If i was knewing that the Serdoa is the agitator:ranele:.And what a cheap excuse there is uranium in the central island lol.
I tryed my self diplomaticaly to convince Ad hoc to go for TT and it was true he could be clearly second power because the only thing which keeped lots of my destroyers and units tide were the huge stack wich Adhoc had on his island.
Yes i had spy on his island on serdoa island on TT island i even landed one on Cyneheard but dyed next turn(that sucks).

Power: Rather... bad. I knowed that I was gone if you attacked. Probably should have started earlier to build troops but I am pretty bad when it comes to lategame civ4. I simply have no feel for it - neither for the units nor for the possible production. For now my idea was to whip my cities in the ground to withstand you. But that would actually not have helped all that much if you already had commando infantry.
Anyway, I will now start to read spoiler threads.

Sorry my resignation forced the ending of this game. GG everybody, and congrats, Mackoti.
I'm still reading all the threads, I'll try to type something up eventually when I've read all of them.
