If anybody would be interested in a Monarch/Emperor player with zero MP experience and very few posts as a teammate/#2, I'd be interested. Ideally, I'd like a level of involvement that is above dedlurker, but below primary turnplayer.
PBEM19 Organizing Thread

I think I'm going to ded-lurk a thread, but I haven't decided which yet. I'll probably wait until the game has been going for a couple weeks and then pick the player who seems to have the most consistent thread updates and/or the most interesting leader/civ choices.
So what does everyone think of this, then?
Yuris 1800-0000 GMT Ichabod 2000-0300 GMT Commodore 0100-0500 GMT MNG 0300-0600 GMT Ranamar 0400-0700 GMT Ichabod, I figure a 7 hour window is easier to work in than a 1 hour window? Also it looks like Quick is the winner for speed, and I think we have pretty strong agreement on all of the settings Novice proposed.
You can get a look at a t-bone by looking up the bulls ass but I'd rather take the butcher's word for it.
You guys want to start the snake pick then? or wait till a mapmaker is selected and gives you an idea of the map features?

You should see who matches up with you in terms of timeslot that would help in figuring out who you could be with. Also if there is enough interest I'm sure there could be a nother PBEM started as well. Other people who have expressed interest: Silverbear Roland Maestro You're already up to 3.

If you don't have someone more experienced pop-up, I'm willing to throw something together for you to get vetted and go. I'll happily step aside if one of the more "professional" map makers wants to give things a go, however.
For whomever makes the map, I'd recommend a post summarizing the agreed upon settings plus any general direction for the map-maker, and going ahead and starting the civ picks, it'll make things get started faster.
I've got some dirt on my shoulder, can you brush it off for me?
Mr. Nice Guy Wrote:So what does everyone think of this, then? Sorry, MNG, but I kind of screwed up the GMT conversion. I'm avaiable from 2200-0300 GMT. I think that doesn't matter, though, looking at the table. Edit: About the Map, I really don't care about the amount of experience of the one who makes it. Even if not everyone has a balanced start, it won't take the fun away. Hey, guys, I have been thinking more about this game and I think I'll have to pass it.
I'm sorry for the inconvinience and keep in mind I'll play it if no other player wants the spot. But it will be too much of a time commitment and I don't have much time already. When the game is beggining, we get thrilled, by I don't think I'll be able to keep an updated thread + play a good game + do diplomacy. So, anyone interested in the spot?
Aw bummer Ichabod. Maybe you can take a team position advising your slot replacement? Silverbear/Roland/Maestro, any takers?
Gaspar, I doubt we require professional mapmaking, like I said, just basically balanced starts and strat resource checks. I haven't heard anyone else chime in yet about map settings/type. Guys, any input? If we're going with Quick/Prince/Small then that's probably enough to pick Civs/Leaders (I'm assuming we'll have enough water to make Vikings/Dutch no worse than they usually are). Someone unbiased want to roll us a pick order?
