1) 18 SC is a win, everything else is a DRAW which includes all survivors equally, draws with less players are considered worth more.

2) Army rome

3) Secret civ preference list, I think we don't want people picking civs based on which players they want to start neighbours with.

4) This one is important cause Diplomacy has a tendency to cause trouble: Absolutely no meta gaming, trading blackmail/favours in other games or carrying feuds over, what happens in this game stays within this game.

(I mean, no one has ever carried a grudge from one civ game to another!)

Difference is in Diplomacy you will get lied to and you will get promises and deals broken. Some people do have problems to forget that after the game ends.
So a clear warning for all that want to participate: Beware that you don't get too emotional

well basically, breaking treaties is frowned upon in civ MP but accepted as a part of Diplomacy and it's important that people understand that

This. Diplomacy is very different from civ and it's important that people recognize that you'll get lied to sometimes and it's literally part of the game.

Uberfish's point about picking civ based on preferred neighbors is a good one... So I'd like to withdraw my support for a draft and say I'm now in favor of a preference list.

Not sure what to do about the Zed-F spot. Perhaps it might actually be good if he and David Corperial worked together? Just tossing out ideas as I'd like to see the roster officially filled out.

I'm really curious of the enforcement mechanism here as well as how it's determined who is metagaming and who isn't. I get this as advice, but it seems odd to me as a rule.
