I am begind on cities by quite a bit - Bob has something like 7 or 8 now and I am on 3... Going to be 4 very shortly though and I am considering throwing out 5 and 6 before revolting to Aristocracy and going into research and build mode. If I do that then I am certainly going to need to research Fishing too... So many techs, so little time....

Well - Full update to follow in the next couple of days.

I have had an awful lot on and there was a bit of a pause meaning that it is T104 currently. I have revolted to aristocracy and apprenticeship and am out to 4 cities with my 5th following in a couple of turns. My GNp has jumped to about the same as iskender... go go financial!!!

It wasn't anything breathtaking.

I went to a football (Soccer for those the other side of the pond) match once between Bury and Boston (English league 2 at the time). My old flatmate is a Bury fan for some reason?!?!

We were in the away end at Boston and Bury were shooting at the goal just in front of us when one of their strikers ballooned a shot over the bar from about 6 yards. The chap sat in front of us, who was clearly a Bury die-hard fan, stood up to shout... Not satisfied with just "BOOOOO" he felt the need to express his disappointment even more fervently:

"F-Fucking BOOOOOOO" he yelled. lol


To this day I find it hilarious that his little brain couldn't think of anything else to say. Nothing witty, nothing offensive towards the player....

I realise that I have been a poo of late with the updating. Lots been going on in RL both with work and at home but should be back on track again after this weekend - which I am away for at the Isle of Wight Festival! band

So last time I updated the situation was that I had 3 cities and made 41bpt at -6gpt.

In the 9t since then I have gone to 5 cities and now make 91bpt at -11gpt. Sweeet.

That actually puts my GNP only a little behind Iskender! yikes

I don't have many shots and some that I do are a bit pointless so I'll stick to the interesting ones. (Who wants to see the Archery splashscreen?)

On T102 I did a civic swap and this was the result:

So from +46bpt at -10gpt to +67bpt at -7gpt. For the loss of 5fpt and 11hpt.

I really liked the extra hammers at the capital - they were so useful. But I was expanding out and so Aristocracy made a little more sense. I still think that maybe I revolted 5t too soon... meh.

By T105 it looked like this:

I had dialled up writing with the intention of getting Libraries up in Totoro. Valley of the Wind and Kobe. Depending on the situation I would be in a decent spot to get the GL. A wonder I'm not entirely sure is worth it... I'm not going to be running lots of scientists after all. The libraries alone though are worth it.


By T107 I was out to 5 cities and Fishing was being researched after just finshing writing.

The barb city of Ultigar had just completed its 4th warrior so I expect that they will march on Earthsea soon. Barny is en-route to clean up.

Done. The 4 barb warriors are approaching Earthsea but I should have 3 copper warriors and Barny there on defence.
