I think it would put the most pressure on Nakor's SCs whilst also possibly trapping his fleet on line whilst keeping the Channel protected.

I don't think I'd do that, mostly because it means no new SC for scooter this turn. It might be worth moving Eng -> MAO, between a new SC and a MAO fleet, he can always take the channel back, but the north sea fleet really needs to be getting him something, probably norway.

Yes, he needs to put pressure on Nakor, but not at the cost of totally stunting his growth.

He could still take a SC though. The ships in Mao & the Channel would give him the chance to move his army to possibly take Belgium, Brest, Spain or Portugal.

Except that I'm pretty sure you can't simultaneously move a fleet and convoy with it. If I'm wrong about that, then it could be fairly strong.

Can't. A fleet can do one of the following each turn:
  1. Hold
  2. Move
  3. Give Support
  4. Convoy

Oh man, Eng-Mao would be hilarious. Not sure about prudent, but hilarious.

Also, loving the analysis on scooter's thread. Really getting at the heart of the strategic possibilities and not just globs of chat logs.

I haven't read any of the press, but certainly if I'm France, F Eng is what's giving me heartburn. Eng -> MAO against my MAO -> Bre is bad, with a (presumed) new F Lon in the winter, but MAO -> Por leaves open Eng C Wal -> Bre, which is almost good night.

I wouldn't be ecstatic about the prospect of Eng C Wal -> Bel (supported by Nth) either, but at least in that circumstance the English army might be persuaded to look eastward.

Eng C Wal->Pic is a guaranteed finger to the French. Unoptimal if he can read what France will do and do the perfect counter (i.e. Eng->MAO/Nth->Eng or Eng->Bre instead).

In trying to follow the east, here's what I think I've been able to suss out so far:

Turkey wants to make an anti-russian move in the fall, keeping him at 4 centers while going to 5 herself. She's told Austria this. Austria does not believe her, and will poke Bulgaria in the fall, which will allow Russia into Rumelia. Furthermore, he's communicated Austria's request for support into Rumelia to Russia.

Predicted Moveset:

If Regoarrar trusts Lewwyn in this, he'll be set for a bounce in Galicia, and each of the 3 eastern powers will pick up one build for the year (Germany has already mentioned in his thread that he's pretty sure he'll deny Russia Sweden this year). Austria will then have a pretty solid lock on Greece, at least for the time-being. He'll be helped by it even more if both Russia and Turkey end up using their builds for Fleets in Ankara and Sevastopol.

So... basically the Balkans are a Charlie Foxtrot in 1901.

So if those moves happen, what will happen to Bulgaria?

If his unit currently in Bulgaria is bounce out of Rumania, would Turkey then have 2 units in Bulgaria (combined with one from Const. moving in there) and therefore only bounce Lewwyn out of Bulgaria, or would it bounce to another square?
