1vs5 pentakill and a Baron steal Jowy Wrote:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7kFI3sIFK-w I am Poppy/Vayne and that Katarina is ulting right next to a wall. Oh well guess I should run away/autoattack her.
I don't get the obsession with pentakills in this game. League of Legends is a team game - whether or not one champ got all the kills while winning a team fight is rather pointless. In that video posted, the Katarina player was horrendously out of position, getting the blue golem buff while the rest of the team fought 4 vs 5. They pretty much lost their team the game, until getting an extremely lucky Baron steal + ace.
I dunno. I'm just disappointed that the LoL community seems to celebrate bad play like this. Sullla Wrote:I dunno. I'm just disappointed that the LoL community seems to celebrate bad play like this. Because the internet is full of self-righteous pricks who just want self-gratification and OMG I just took everyone on!!!1 :neenernee Sullla Wrote:I dunno. I'm just disappointed that the LoL community seems to celebrate bad play like this. Oh c'mon Sullla, don't be a bad sport. Don't you think it's already a great sign of elaborate strategy that one team even thought about taking Baron (instead of ignoring it all game long) and a player on the other one even stole it ? And I bet as soon as you get a pentakill, you are going to cast it, aren't you ? :neenernee Sullla Wrote:I don't get the obsession with pentakills in this game. That Kat would have failed at that move (move = bluebuff while team engages 4v5 and all 4 die w/o a kill) 99/100 times, but since she got lucky "OMG Kat is teh pro!" It's the same mentality that leads to banning the champ in ranked that caused you the most trouble last game even if you usually have no problem with it. Time horizons people!
It shouldn't even have been 99/100, they had two ways of stopping that ult immediately. The result should have been a vaporised Kat!
The main reason people like pentakills is because it is a game and pentakills are entertaining. I never bother to keep hitting champions if they are definitely dead so I will never get one but it is a lot of fun when they happen. I once managed to bait an entire team into being killed by Twitch of all people and it was hilarious. I was as responsible for the deaths as the twitch and came out with 5 assists but I didn't mind because he said thanks to me for setting it up. Some people just have fun last hitting champions and more power to them. However everyone sensible knows that 0/0/20 is the best score you can get in the game, otherwise known as "noob useless sona get no kills" Co-op against AI with completely random teammates. I swear the rest of the team would have lost if I hadn't been there. I cleared middle base tower and exposed the inhib, then spent the next 15 minutes trying to get the rest of the team to take it. I just don't understand how you can die that many times against the bots... I guess the average player really is that bad? It's a shame the stream wasn't up, would actually have been pretty entertaining to watch.
People dig that stuff cos almost everyone plays this game for fun. Getting a pentakill is freaking sweet, especially when it's 1vs5 and you even steal the Baron buff for your team in the process! I'd imagine there's more "self-righteous pricks" in the small minority of people who don't find pentakills fucking awesome.

We lost 2 out of 3 lanes (I dominated mine). I NEVER play non-carries against bots anymore (lots of Yi and Corki practice recently). But yeah, some people are just silly terribad. Hi, first time playing Mord. I totally take the spinning metal first and buy no items, right? |
