I think Locke may place 2nd instead of Plako, what I've seen of Adlain's land tells me he's been busy growing those cottages for his neighbours. The LP dogpile will prevent him from getting diplomatically isolated.

Is that the sound of impending controversy?

I think its just guys blowing off some steam with their frustration on letting LP gain such a lead rather than the beginning of a full-blown argument.
They won't break NAPs and DoW him while he's vulnerable, so this is the only way to get at him.

Since LP is doing 1t techs on almost everything, I don't think it's an Espionage issue, since Research Visibility doesn't matter if everything completes in 1t.
He probably should try to play at different times in the turn, but as long as his tech pace is as absurd as it's been, that doesn't matter one way or the other.

No response by luddite about LP getting the Sistine Chapel. Since Culture was his only hope for victory, I expect that'll be a tough blow for his morale. Mackoti is building up, though luddite should be able to survive an attack. However, I think it may be sufficient discouragement to cause him to give up on the game. While I'm sure he'd keep playing, I wouldn't be surprised if that took his heart out of it.

I'll certainly give LP this: In one of his first posts he made a long argument about why Ind is a very undervalued trait here. I think he was onto something! It seems like getting Stonehenge, and then MoM / Taj, and then the religious trio, and then eventually SoL gives a pretty strong position!

Part of it is the map size, which we sometimes forget to consider. In a map where you get 10 cities, Ind is less valuable because:
A) You need to be prepared for war sooner. He still doesn't have Archery.
B) You have fewer cities, and most Wonders provide a civ-wide benefit for a fixed cost.
On a Huge map like this one, where LP has 25-30 cities, it's a bigger deal to get an extra 4t of GAs and the like.

Do the players really think Parkin needs to hide his research? He is researching everything in 1 turn......

Meh, it's just an extension of their fear/frustration toward him and his commanding lead. I can't help but wonder if things like Gaspar's angry e-mails and plako/locke's complaints in the UN thread reveal their attitudes to LP. Don't get me wrong: LP would have to be incredibly naive to not expect an attack, and he's already said the words "dogpile" and "5v1" in his thread several times, but wouldn't the Parkin Violation be better off playing nice (not lying of course) or at the least, saying nothing? At this point, LP won't be surprised by the involvement of any of the 4 members. I feel like they'd be much better off if they led him to expect a 2v1 or 3v1.
Then again, maybe I'm overstating the effect of those messages.
