We should have placed the Balseraphs in the middle of the ocean somewhere next to Acheron =)

Gaspar Wrote:I'll reply on the other issues raised shortly, but just looking at that overview - man, I hope everyone got this boned on commerce specials. Cotton's the worst resource in the game, and we have jungled gold. That is it. If someone else has a bunch of plains river incense or something I'm going to throw a fit when I see the map. :P ...oops? :P The Hippus do have one plains river incense tile.
Gaspar gets t0 ancient forest, extensive river system, a lot of green land to expand into and a stab at Patria. I see no reasons to moan :neenernee
But that incense should probably be on desert
I loves me some plains river Incense . Calendar being such an early tech priority, its the best commerce tile in the game.

Uh Oh,
Balseraph Griffon - 2 turns from Sheim capital Sheim military - 3 turns form Sheim capital (and moving the wrong way)
Frankly, if i was Kyan i would take it. Anytime.
You know where you defeated the player, that basically means a ton of room to expand into. You have the troops to defend against barbs. Poor Sheaim, though.
I wait ready to be amused by Gaspar's relief/fear/paranoia if that happens.

Not so sure about that one. Taking out the Sheaim would actually help Gaspar way more than it would help the balseraphs, letting the elves have basically the entire eastern peninsula. Besides Gaspar needs to focus on countering a possible Pyre Zombie rush, meaning less time for economic management.
Of course he doesn't know where the elves are though (unless i missed something).
The Bhalseraph Griffin has Combat 2. The Sheaim do still have 1 warrior defending the capital in their last screenshot.
4+40%=5.6 3+25%(warrior city defence bonus)+25%(Fortify)+20%(cultural defence)=5.1 That is assuming the griffin doesn't get the negative for attacking across a river, or that the Sheaim can't 1-turn rush a warrior. But it still means the sheaim could survive even if the clowns tried to kill them. Considering that the Sheaim would know who it was as soon as the griffin came inside the borders it could create a lifelong enemy if they survived. (Sheaim/Elf team up against the clowns anyone?) Quote:I would bet a good bit this game comes down to us and the Clowns anyway, so if Kyan is meeting everyone before us, we have problems. I wouldn't in the least be surprised if he's already stirring Nicolae's pot with regards to us. Alas poor Gaspar. Some day you'll find a game where being clairvoyant actually translates to success.
