I feel bad for both of them...e-mails like that take a long time to write and you can be sure it ha gotten quite emotional especially for plako. It might be entertaining to us but it is probably very unpleasant for them.

In this case I feel a bit bad for LP; though his quote looks bad, even at the time, IIRC, he stated in his thread that it was to prevent the embargo without making him look like a supporter of Plako (which was the point of their shadow alliance).

That isn't really accurate. Go back and read LP's thread in the post 600-640 range. It is pretty clear that Parkin really only wants the boycott to fail because he knows he is likely to be the next on the shun list. If he ever told plako about the boycott attempt, it was literally weeks after it happened and well after Adlain had already told plako.

in both of their threads. But i'll just enjoy the carnage. Hopefully the carnage stays within the game and doesnt spill over after.

So say LP does stick to 5 draftees a turn until T200 - that would get him 100 rifles plus whatever he produces. Considering Gaspar sounds like he is going to be hard pressed to get 20 galleons. Do you think that will be enough to make LP have to choose where he wants to defend, or will the dogpile be a repeat of PB2?

By the way, this thread has been great popcorn for these fleeting moments when i find WiFi while on walking holiday in spain. Seriously is making me miss my comouter and playing civ.

I am waiting to see if LP posts Plako's reply. I am noticing this trend, he only posts when he is right or has upper hand. Whether it is intentional or not, but he wants his lurkers to read him in a certain way. If this is intentional, hat off to him, it is working....

It'll probably be worse than that. He can discovery Assembly Line, run 0% cash for a few turns and upgrade every Rifle to an Infantry. He'd probably have 70+ Infantry(Assuming he discovered before the end and so had to slow down drafting due to 2pop drafts). Not counting anything hand built.

The only way they win is if he crashes his economy hard enough that one of them can get theirs going fast enough to keep pace. I kind of doubt that, because LP is liable to absorb land from this war(Though I doubt he can win Domination).

I see LP cropped off the part of the F1 city screen that shows what the cities are producing in his latest screenshot. Considering he has ever only been building infrastructure in the past, i wonder if he has really switched to military production and is paranoid about that info being slipped to other teams ? Pure speculation of course, but speculating about the upcoming war and debating the merits of who is less honorable than whom seem to be the only points left to this pitboss.

I was wondering that too, like what is he hiding? He has never cropped off the production in the past, e.g.
